The game this reminds me of in many ways is the divisional playoff game in 2009 against the Chargers. On paper we can't win that game but when you look at the reality that the opponent probably can't run against us and that Rex has a way of messing up the opponent's plans in the air, well then it comes down to whether or not our offense can score against a strong defense and not turn the ball over. It's a winnable game although the Bengals are favored.

If we lose this game, it'll be because Geno has a terrible game. If Geno limits turnovers (1 or less) we win this game. Despite their weapons, they have a mediocre QB. Not worried about Green with Cro on him- he's the type of WR he plays very well. More worried about their TEs, but after seeing Allen on Gronk, I'm not as nervous. I have faith.
I don't agree. Cincinnatti is a team we always play well. Geno ends the Good Geno/Bad Geno trend this week with 19/30 311 yards and 3 TDs. Booook it!!!

Don't sleep on Cleveland. There defense is legit, they have a horrible offense though that's holding them back as a team. Let's see what happens when we make the Bengals 1 dimensional.
I consider this game the hardest game of the year for us. It is winnable if our defense can force a couple turnovers and the offense keeps it clean. Hopefully Holmes will be healthy and ready. We need a lights out performance on both offense and defense to take this one. Hopefully the Bengals revert back to the Bungles.
We Jets fans know we have a very good DL but I'm beginning to think that even we underestimate Dunbar's wolf pack. I can't recall a game this year where our D was gassed. Temporarily out foxed perhaps but they generally adjust and hang tough thur to the end. I think the hidden strength of the DL is the quality of its depth. Our 6 man rotation keeps them all relatively fresh and our opponents muttering. Given the above the winning formula is simple: *LB's keep it in front of the them *Bend but don't break *Win the TO battle so MM can keep the offense humming *Cribbs helps win the field position battle

I'm split on this. Honestly I think it depends on which Geno shows up. If the one from Atlanta and Buffalo does, we win. I think this game is winnable through the air, their D-line is too stout to run up the middle. Mike Goodson really would've come in handy on outside runs here -__-. I think Cromartie will do an "okay" job on AJ, he tends to play better against longstriders ex. Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, he can't seem to follow the shifty and quick guys, can't turn his hips quick enough, he's too long. I think Jets actually win, but will not be surprised at all if they lose.
I'm not sure I would use the word "horrible" to describe their offense. Their 5.5 yards per play average is the same as Indy. The have scored 16 offensive TDs in 7 games which is slightly above average. Are they an offensive juggernaut? Obviously not. But Dalton had thrown for like 700 yards and 6 TDs, 1 INT in the past 2 games. I know iot was the Bills and Lions defense, but it's still damn impressive.
The statistics look nice n all, but you need to look at reality and the reality is they don't have a franchise QB and they can't run the ball. That won't do much for your above average defense. You don't continuously keep your defense out there on the field in games. Browns offense is HORRIBLE. Teams are now keying a little more after their Pro-Bowl TE, and their wide receiver Gordon is talented, but if they don't have a run game they can't control the clock which is what you want to do in the AFCN. I think the Jets D can force Dalton into a few mistakes - he's put together 2 good games in a row. This will be the best defense he's faced this season so far.
We have averaged blown coverage a game it seems and pretty much all of them have led to TDs. Getting beat is one thing but handing teams 6 points is inexcusable. It would be great if we stopped that trend this Sunday.

We blew a coverage in the NE game for a TD, but TEN and PITT and ATL the WR just beat Cro for a TD. I know what you mean though, limit the big plays and force a team work their way down the field to score. Give our defense enough chances, we can stop them.
Could not disagree more. That's a REALLY good defensive line Biggs. I had questions about the o-line but they seemed to hold up pretty well against Detroit. I hope you're correct, but I'm worried about our running game not being able to establish any rhythm at all to help out the rook on the road.
Geno Smith is in for a long day my friends. Other than some Megatron magic and Stafford Houdini, the Bengals D played it's best game of the season last week including a blocked fg. In fact so did the offense, which is playing with two rookie playmakers. Expect that trend to continue on Sunday...just my opinion of course...
