In the article it stated how much better we were w/ Holmes, the smaple w/o him was 4 games which included a 9 pt game and yet we still averaged much more PPG w/o him. I'm not saying we are better w/o him and I want him back too, just pointing out our O was very good w/o him too.
I follow you...see the stats. Just doesnt fit the profile of a team that got off to a fast start on offense before the rest of the league caught up...have seen that picture before with the Jets. Along comes Holmes and the Jets have a stretch against lesser teams and barely hang on during a 4? game run because of Holmes...not to mention the pass interference call he draws near the goal line that doesnt show up in the stats. Sanchez hasnt shown the ability to make everyone else around him better yet...this year? Perhaps...but he still needs golden eggs around him until he proves to be that type of player. Think it would be a gutty move to not bring him back.
We need to bring holmes back... you cant really replace the kind of things he does. I love Edwards, but edwards is a homerun hitter, and you can find home run hitters(james jones?). Obviously both would be great -- but if you have to choose, I dont see how you wouldnt choose holmes.

Totally agree. Its a perfect fit for both sides...he plays like he belongs in NY. Its the perfect fit that seems to never last for the Jets. Hopefully it gets done.
Watch Sportcenter at 10, he said it at 9 when sportcenter went live, and I assume they will just show a replay of the 9 show.
