    Oakland-Yankees and Padres-Phillies postponed.

Masterson pitched well, but as expected, neither starter pitched deep into the game.

I suppose Hendrickson was good by his standards.

Masterson has talent and potential, at least.

Liz was terrible yet again, but I think I'd take him over Hendrickson. He has a chance to improve, perhaps. He does have some raw talent.

Hendrickson is still in the league for pretty much one reason only, he's left handed. though actually 2 years ago his metrics were pretty good his FIP was 4.06 k/Bb was over 3. the other LHP options on the 40 man are brutal, walker has no control and strikes noone out. Rich hill is the unenviable combination of terrible and injured, and matuz isn't ready for the bigs yet.

Look like the BoSox have turned the corner, maybe even got Ortiz hitting.

Masterson pitched 5 1/3, which is pretty good considering he's been in the bullpen since about 3/4 of the way through spring training. How deep did you want him to go?

I didn't want him to go anything.

I was saying neither starter was expected to go deep, and neither one did.

ugh, I took the Phillies in streak for the cash.

Rain delay starts an hour ago. Game still has not restarted, and they refuse to call it.

    It's 11-3 in the 7th!

Cost me a pick because I wanted to take San Jose late.

Phillies do get win, I miss late pick. Ugh.

Wakefield-Baker in Fenway Park moved from last night due to rain. Rescheduled for 12:35 PM EDT.

You got 10 in this version? Pretty good considering we're only three weeks in.

I'm at 1 and I should be at 2. I had already decided to take San Jose, but they decided to keep the baseball game going until midnight.

    http://streak.espn.go.com/entryStreaks?entryID=23913&segmentID=2

that's me. Not doing too well. My longest last time was only about 7. I don't have trouble getting to 5, but after that it always breaks down.

I was doing well percentage wise. 3 game win streak, loss, 5 game win streak, loss, 5 game win streak. 13-2-1 record in that span!

After the second 5 gamer broke, I ended up with an 8 game losing streak, amazingly enough. By far my longest. After it got to 5, I decided I didn't care whether I won or lost.

Now I'm at 1 and I'm going to take a soccer match, I think.

I know someone on a messageboard I post on that got a 15 game losing streak this month. Now that's impressive. He was tied for 4th longest, but someone just hit 16, so now it's tied for 5th. Amazingly enough, the guy with 16 is still active. He/she has Pittsburgh today.

You doing the draft streak? I won't be able to.

whoops, I missed the pick for Nuggets-Hornets. I would've taken Paul + West.

By the way, by each matchup there's a discussion. Mostly spam, but occasionally some good information.

Yeah, I use that a lot. Sometimes you get inside injury info.

Remember Kason Gabbard? He was a big part of the Gagne trade.

Red Sox just got him back for a few hundred thousand, it appears.

He really wasn't a big part I don't think, he was just a AAAA pitcher the Rangers could throw out there for the rest of the year, the real prizes in that trade were David Murphy and Engel beltre, particularly beltre, who BP had as the #68 prospect,

Nah, he was considered a significant piece and the only player with big league experience. Obviously Murphy and Beltre were considered to have much higher upsides, but:

    In the aftermath

    Heh.

So while I agree that Beltre and Murphy were the real prospects, Gabbard was a significant part of the deal.

Of the 11 games played at 7 PM or later on Saturday, the underdog won 10. The only exception was the White Sox winning.

    Milwaukee +108
    Minnesota +111 (blowout)
Texas +112 (easy to pick against Hendrickson here)
    Phillies +131
    Detroit -102 (blowout)
    San Francisco +130
    Dodgers +129
    Seattle +116
    Pittsburgh +116 (blowout)
