    19-17 in 1969.

I don't remember it happening. I guess that makes sense, as all of these were well before my lifetime.

I actually remember the 23-22 game. I guess I don't need to tell you that the wind was blowing out that day at Wrigley Field? The 26-23 game was also at Wrigley, and on April 17, 1976, the Cubs blew a 13-2 lead at Wrigley and lost 18-16 to .... the Phillies!

    Tommy Hunter is just terrible.

Runners on the corners, 1 out, he walks Jason Varitek, who sucks as a hitter. Then Crisp singled to bring in a run, and he hits Cora! Yeah, ummm, putting Varitek and Cora on so you can face Drew, Pedroia, Ortiz, Youkilis, and Bay. Brilliant.

    No control.

    9 run inning.

Meanwhile, one of the more remarkable stats I've seen is Daisuke data.

With runners in scoring position, the opposition bats about .195 off him.

With the bases loaded? 0 for 12!!!!!

He did it again in the 2nd inning today. 9-0 Boston in the 3rd.

Dice-K's been pitching out of jams again tonight.

Milton Bradley: Strike looking, Bradley singled to center.
Marlon Byrd: Strike swinging, Byrd reached on fielder's choice to third, Bradley out at second.
Brandon Boggs: Ball, Ball, Strike looking, Ball, Boggs walked, Byrd to second.
Chris Davis: Strike looking, Strike swinging, Ball, Davis struck out swinging.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia: Ball, Ball, Ball, Strike looking, Saltalamacchia walked, Byrd to third, Boggs to second.
Ramon Vazquez: Ball, Strike looking, Foul, Foul, Ball, Vazquez struck out swinging.

1st and 2nd, he strikes out Davis. Bases loaded, he strikes out Vazquez.

Ian Kinsler: Strike looking, Strike looking, Ball, Ball, Kinsler singled to left center.
Frank Catalanotto: Strike looking, Ball, Catalanotto flied out to center.
Michael Young: Young singled to right, Kinsler to third.
Milton Bradley: Ball, Bradley grounded into double play second to shortstop to first, Young out at second.
End of Inning (0 Runs, 2 Hits, 0 Errors)

1st and 3rd with 1 out, and he induces a DP from one of the best hitters around.

horrendous baserunning from Matt Kemp costs the Dodgers the game.

1 out, Kemp on first, Ethier hits one off the top of the wall. Kemp retreats to first and only starts running after it comes off the wall. He stops at 2nd.

Ethier should've been at 2nd and Kemp should've scored.

1st and 2nd. Next guy flies out. Kemp could've then scored even if he'd stopped at 3rd. Instead, 1st and 2nd, 2 outs, for Manny, and he strikes out swinging.

Red Sox -121 lost to Roy Halladay. Predictable enough. Complete game.

Nationals -150 lose 13-6 to Colorado. Rockies scoring 13 in a pitcher's park.

Rays -118 lose 3-0 to Rangers. Harrison leading the way for a Rangers shutout.

Phillies -170 lose 8-3 to San Diego

Dodgers -160 lose 4-3 in 10 innings to the Brewers because Matt Kemp is stupid.

Also, Yankees were huge favorites last night (-220) and lost to the Royals.

ARLINGTON – Another day, another catastrophe for the Rangers. Ian Kinsler has very possibly played his last game of the season.

What was initially called a sore left groin after Kinsler left Sunday's game is probably a sports hernia, team orthopedist Dr. Keith Meister told Kinsler after an MRI exam Monday.

Kinsler will see a specialist in hernia repair as early as Tuesday and could have season-ending surgery.

Kinsler was placed on the disabled list, and infielder Joaquin Arias was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma. Arias and Ramon Vazquez are expected to platoon at second base, with Arias facing lefthanders and Vazquez facing righthanders.

Kinsler, an All-Star second baseman and potential Most Valuable Player candidate, did not rule out returning this season but acknowledged he was "mentally" preparing for season-ending surgery.

"There is a lot of stuff I still wanted to accomplish," Kinsler said. "You prepare to play the whole season, and when it's cut short, well, it's not what you expect to have happen at all. I'm having a great season. I wanted to steal the MVP from [Josh] Hamilton. I guess I'll just have to do it again next year."

    wow, epic win.

The Cubs were -310 on Friday. Before I left to go to my friend's girlfriend's house, I took the Nationals to pull the straight-up upset.

That's the biggest upset, betting-wise, of the season. Pretty sure.

Mets lost as big favorites yesterday. More than -200. Don't have the exact number.

I once had a chocolate point Siamese cat that had several dustups with blue jays in the 1980s.

Tigers -225 lose 4-3 to the Indians.

    Angels -235 lose 2-1 to the A's.

Twins -225 lose 4-2 to the Mariners in 11 innings. Nathan blew a 9th inning lead.

Three biggest favorites all go down, including my survivor pick, the Twins. I had a 22 game streak.

Also Giants -129 lose to the Rockies, 4-2. Cain goes down.

Royals -135 got blown out by the Rangers, 9-4.
