He won 9 games last year with a roster & schedule similar to the one we have here. DL as the team's strength, QB as its biggest weakness. He made the move to the veteran QB when the team was still relevant- not when it had already played itself out of contention.. OH and he knocked the doors off of Rex's sorry ass head to head twice.
don't know much about Quinn or if Mortenson is right but this would not surprise me.. it was never a done deal they would hire marrone anyway
that QB did nothing but set the development of Manuel back. he was not a difference maker in any way. and Geno was better than Vick so had we switched to Vick earlier we still would have sucked.
You don't get it; you never have. You think that adults hate people over something as trivial as what team they play on or who they draft. I don't think I've ever had hatred for another person, even when I was a kid. You take this fan thing way too seriously.
Well what'd I say? Woody saw all the negativity from here and the positive reaction to Quinn. We don't exactly know if Quinn can do the job, but hell if TGG/whatever other forums Woody's unpaid Jets intern scours and aggregates shouts from the top of their lungs, you damn sure Woody's going to hear about it.
If Quinn gets the job ok. He's qualified and I have nothing against him. Or Marrone. They are both good coaches. As for the Bills trolls. I didn't get one iota of pertinent information from them. And didn't listen to anything they said.
I don't know who Chris Nimbley is, my guess would be if Mort said this it would be all over twitter. was this a taped segment that hasn't aired yet? is that why he said "sources"?
Nimbley is the head guy at JetsInsider.com. Usually pretty reliable with info. It is weird that I haven't seen it anywhere else though. And yes, incarcerated bob saying the Jets are out of the Marrone sweepstakes means we are hiring him. And I love that its considered a sweepstakes for a guy who has accomplished nothing in his career.
I would be embarrassed as a jets fan if this had any truth to it.... However I can say this, thank you Ron Wolf!!!!
Anything attached to Mehta is lacking credibility. However, that credibility was lost over years of attention grabbing articles attacking the team with either no sources or anonymous sources. You're right that it's possible that Mehta is telling the truth but it's something similar to the boy who cried wolf. Just too much low-quality reporting from him for too many years. Anybody coming in with a fresh perspective can see that Jets fans have a bias interpreting anything he's writing. However, that fresh perspective also means that they've missed years of his shenanigans. Mehta has lost credibility with a lot of fans.
