he got so used to the Rochester media kissing Buffalo's butt in both football and hockey ! bills have training camp in rochester suburb, and pegula owns the ahl team, since his wife is from here. pegula has ruined both the nhl team and the ahl team. expecting otherwise on the nfl team is wishful thinking , imo. marrone was smart to get out of hicksville and polihan even smarter not to go back there. this isn't the 20th century anymore.

welcome. only thing pegula did was trade gas lease rights for an nfl team, since no bank was going to loan over a billion dollars to fund an nfl team in buffalo. that being said, he didn't make money in the fracking business just to lose money as an nfl owner. the folks in buffalo are celebrating that they got to keep the team there, but the old saying about being careful what you wish for still applies.

Again, what are you talking about? Pegula has purchased hundreds of acres of land in downtown Buffalo, and has created hundreds of millions renovation project to rebuild the harbor area in Buffalo. He wants to build a stadium down there. He is the 4th wealthiest NFL owner. He can do whatever he wants. And a bank WAS going to fund Bon Jovi and Co. to purchase the Bills. So WTF are you talking about?
which is why he keeps the regier/ rolston hire as the amerks coach? have you seen their record? results count, the rest is just hot air..... pegula is covering his you-know-what . buffalo only has nhl team cause a large number of people in southern ontario can't get toronto tickets. hamilton gets blackballed to protect the sabres. buying the amerks cut a lot of costs for the sabres, plus they can continue to market the sabres in rochester. as for the bills, they not only used the blackout policy to force rochester into their ticket-buying area, but extended the blackout into syracuse to stop people in rochester from watching other teams via syracuse tv stations. now that the satellite ticket package is available, they still get a cut of that $$$ , in the billions. bottom line, buffalo has two major league teams in a minor league city. and, ny state taxpayers are subsidizing both. did you see albany rush in to help nassau county, which lost both the nba and nhl?
they were going to move to toronto as soon as the small buyout in the lease kicked in. Toronto is a major league city , in case you haven't noticed.
he is also making money in real estate , coinciding with owning the team. just like ratner did in brooklyn along with the russian guy. these guys are not just the wanna be sports team owners the media paints them to be.
Bills aren't going anywhere...Pegulas are dedicated to Western NY ..even ended that God awful Toronto series "home" game that Wilson started..That's why Bills fans were excited Pegulas were awarded ownership..it meant stability over Jon Bon Jovi's partnership with Toronto based businesses....

But even if it was only 2 years from now ... no bank finances JUST because a group promises to move a team in a few years. Thats not how it works. Might want to talk to the person with the finance major. Lastly, there isn't a bank in the world that wouldn't have lended Pegula the money if he wanted it. Whether it was Buffalo or a town of 10 people in Antartica. He is worth $5 billion dollars CASH. They would have financed him no matter where the team was.
you are mostly right, but the pegulas are even more dedicated to making money......hence the moves in real estate. ny state taxpayers paid for the hsbc arena, just like they will pay most of the cost if a new football stadium is built. and anyone who is familiar with geography will tell you that if the bills were truly an upstate team, the new stadium would be built next to the intersection of the thruway ( rt 90) and route 390, in rochester area. rovhester is far more able in terms of demographics and income to support the bills than buffalo is.

Again, no....that's not true...I live in Bills country ...it's been mostly anti Doug all year....fans hated him mostly ...and players were tweeting "Happy New Year!!" The second the news broke...Hacket in particular was loathed...Media turned on Doig as well...says a A lot about a franchise that's been down 15 yrs...they realize the success of that team was on the back of Schwartz and his defense...not Marrone/Hacket punt friendly offense...
