    Very little.

Even when healthy, their YPC's were some of the lowest in their career. Hackett and his O-Line coach were terrible at blocking schemes and getting to the 2nd level.

Most Bills fans, including me, believe Hackett is part of the reason for Manuel being such a bust.

I'm not stupid enough to think that EJ would have ever been good. But he was serviceable and Hackett completely ruined him. Told him never to scramble or run out of the pocket. There was a steady REGRESSION from Manuel's 1st game in the NFL and what we saw of him this season.

Same thing happened with Orton. Started out strong, then as Hackett "molded" him, he regressed greatly and then retired.

I forgot to mention the OL. Marrone can't coach OL. He sucks atit.

Chan Gailey was our HC/OC in 2012. The offensive line was one of the best in the league with Chan. We were top 5 in rushing.

One year later under Marrone & Hackett, the same group of men are absolutely terrible and they are bottom 10 in rushing.

4-2 in the playoffs with Sanchez is a worthy accomplishment...I can't argue that ...beating Manning and Brady doing it was amazing....Rex had his moments for sure despite being gifted the 2009 playoffs

The first time I heard Marrone speak after being hired in Buffalo I said I dont like this hire. I guarantee you will despise him in a short amount of time. He couldn't handle criticism, he has a sixth grade mastery of the English language and he is flat out a poor game manager. During a big game this year the guy had no idea his defensive line coach benched Jerry Hughes. He is stubborn and thin skinned. He couldn't handle being questioned by local radio schmucks about his constant punting in 4th and 1 at the opponents 40....what a Nancy. Good luck to Jets fans if you hire this fraud. I have no idea how he has weaseled his way into becoming the hot coaching candidate for 2015. He should be a water boy for a division 3 school. He has been a quitter everywhere he goes, and now a joke to many who see through this blow hard. Get use to the phrases "obviously" and "ya know" because he uses either of the two in every three words when he gives an interview. You'd be better off with Rex....this guy is a clown...so you know you're gonna get him Jets.

Thanks for that information...kind of confirms a few things. Especially, in your previous post, how he brings Hackett everywhere he goes. I want NO part of him or Hackett. PERIOD!

Is Doug Marrone really Al Groh in disguise? ..... it's uncanny how much he looks like the former Jets head coach!!!!

Stats can be used any way you want them.
He's also the first Buffalo coach to have a winning season since 2004, and if you don't want to give him credit for the NE win, he's the first Buffalo coach to reach 8 wins since 2004 also.
He was the first coach to have winning seasons at Syracuse and win bowl games in ages.
None of the "facts" that you or any of the other anti-Marrone guys make any sense, but I will give you one thing...
I don't see how he can bring back a Hackett as OC. That would definitely sour his candidacy for me.
Just the same, he's an up and coming coach. Post 12/31 revisionist history notwithstanding, the Bills were not going to fire him.
Of course anyone who has a connection to Syracuse or the Bills is going to hate him now. That being said, he's probably as good a candidate as anyone else out there.

Hackett might be the worse part of the hire...

Please elaborate... because I think what you meant to say is "I disagree with the facts you guys bring to the table".

If not for the Bills hat and Virginia clothes, would you know which one is Al Groh and which is Doug Marrone!? They could be twins!

We need to chill some and take a huge step back.
Most all of us don't know shit about running a professional football organization, criteria for finding a great GM, or selection parameters for a new HC, but we should at least be smart enough to know WHERE NOT TO GO FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED, as it regards for example Marrone or any other HC candidate

    1- Inputs from Jet fans
2- Data from the biased and putrid NY media
3- Influence driven by some brainless billboard add
4- Anyone that has never, ever been a part of an NFL team
5- Fans from the previous team with an axe to grind

It will be bad enough to find success without all this static noise steering the pot.

As I said it before, even if we find the Guru of NFL coaches, acceptance will be no higher that 67% on this board if lucky. Despair is the only thing that seem to spring eternal at TGG.

I can't say too many terrible things about Marrone - mainly because its tough to distinguish what exact say he had over the offense or defense.

But Hackett is just a terrible, terrible OC. Put a cage around your TV. You will want to smash it. And you can bet he will be wherever Marrone is hired. Part of the reason Marrone opted out was because the Bills wouldn't give Hackett and the coordinators an extended contract.

Also, the 4th down decisions. Hope your punter rests his leg.

You're Doug Marrone...aren't you? Stats are stats fool. 28th ranked offense in the NFL isn't window dressing. I think you better put your big boy hat on and give the defense the credit it's due because the Bills can THANK the defense for the record they had. I'd argue the Bills won in spite of You and your loser Hackett.

That's Dan Quinn right? I agree, he would be a much better choice. I mean how can you go wrong with the Seahawks defensive coordinator! And they don't have a bunch of high draft picks on that defense, the coaches had a big part to do with their success. Plus Quinn looks more like the kind of guy who would have success as an NFL HC.

That is definitely telling, 28th ranked offense from an offensive minded HC, what the hell?
