9-7 with no playoff experience is the most qualified or best we can do? Why did we fire Rex if this is the best we could do? Ridiculous.
Its a good move, with a very good staff under him. He seems like the steady hand on the rudder instead of the master of one side to the detriment (or exclusion) of the other Rex never grew out of. Great coaches, as well as great leaders of any stripe, got that way because they were able to delegate to the right people under them. Now, I could be wrong, but that is the way I see it. The important thing is the rest of the staff, the whole enterprise rests on our future GM hiring the right assistants. Do that, and I think Marrone will do well. On the record, I would still rather have Rex, but that's done and over now.
I'm not saying your wrong, I'm saying it's fucked up. The only person I can think of that has had some success is Kubiak, yet, I'm not a fan of him either. I would much rather have him though over Maronne. This reeks of Casserly, I am not a fan of his and I don't think he is very football savy in the current NFL. This just sucks if it becomes a reality.
I agree with you. Kubiak is probably better than Marrone. J Just Want Someone With Head Coaching experience.
No no no! I don't want Buffalo's flotsam. Marrone is a loser and comes across as a jerk with zero personality. Fans will be pleading for Rex Ryan to return within days if this guy is hired. Give me frank reich, dan quinn, or Adam Gase, or Bowles. I'd much rather take a shot on one of those guys.
Marrone is the kind of move that would make me want to go and hang myself. Exaggerating of course. But there are 500 replacements I would take before I looked at him.
... and Kansas City fans warning us about Hackett ... ... and San Diego fans warning us about Schotty Jr.
Makes it much worse after going through the numbers.. Has anyone that wants this guy even bothered to look at how that offense has done under this guy? It is awful, it is very bad, even with the Orton switch. The defense carried them to 9-7, not the offense, oh you know, the side of the ball that the guy is supposed to be good at coaching, they sucked. That isn't a good thing at all. People need to wake up. I swear if Woody hires this guy I don't know what I will do. I am a die hard fan, very loyal, but this would make me question a lot of things. Way more than I already do.
Rex's time had come and gone. These coaches don't have lifetime jobs. I wouldn't have gotten rid of him solely on Idzik not supplying him with the proper players but at the end of the day, the team committed a million penalties and won 4 games. Both Jet/Bill games the Bills handed the Jets their lunch.
That is such a lame mentality. If you have a good coach, you ride it out with that coach knowing that every season will be different and unless things are on the up for that coach, it's going to be rough sledding, but you ride it out. It's not like other teams haven't taken the same approach. Cowher comes to mind.. Continuity is key to being successful. This team knows dick about that.
Not the point. I'd rather have Rex, don't get your panties in a bunch. It was impressive that they kicked our asses without practicing.
That defense won 9 games. Big fucking deal.. He only won 6 games the year before.. It's not like Rex has never won 9 games before? WTF is that argument? It was a bad year.. It just doesn't add up to me at all. Rex can go back to back years to the AFCCG. So, why is he the one that got all the blame the past 4 seasons? You don't think that it's possible that the roster has been shit for a long time now and that has something to do with why Rex couldn't get this team to the playoffs? I mean he showed he can, all of a sudden he can't? Like did that happen over night after his second season? I just don't understand it.
