Josh Allen is no Jim Kelly, Dan Marino nor is he Tom Brady. And never will be.

Did you not see the ways of how Josh Allen performed under pressure during a postseason game when it mattered most? Because he flopped like a fish and blew the game @ the same time.

24/46 (only 52.2%), 264 yards and 0 passing TD's with 3 sacks along with an awful QB Rating of only... 69.5. He should've stuck to just running (90+ rushing yards or catching fluke/gimmick TD passes (1 TD reception).

He played like absolute dog shit throughout the entire 2nd half while pissing away a late 3rd Quarter 16-0 lead before later losing in overtime.

Deshaun Watson was the only one who performed like a Franchise hopeful against postseason pressure while going 20/25 (80.0%), 247 passing yards, 1 TD/0 INT's and a beautiful QB Rating of 121.2 despite being sacked 7x. Along with 55 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.

If JOSH ALLEN is the "Quarterback" that we'll have to beat in order to win the division then it'll become a breath of fresh air that I'm welcoming when in comparison to legendary QB's such as Kelly/Marino/Brady as Josh Allen has a powerful (inaccurate) arm and is more of a glorified running QB rather than an efficient Quarterback who can beat you in the pocket to begin with.

And stop riding the overated Buffalo Bills jockstrap. They aren't scaring anyone as even the lowly Jets had them beat and up 16-0 towards the end of the 3rd Quarter and if C.J Mosley never gets hurt, Buffalo loses to us week 1 and probably never makes the playoffs.

Everyone harps all over the Jets 6-2 2nd half finish ala more 2nd half wins than any team outside of Baltimore and pisses all over it due a lack of opponent competition but yet ignores the facts how Buffalo made a living off of helpless losing teams last year as the only reason they were able to sneak into the playoffs to begin with.

They beat 1 team with an above .500 record last year (the 9-7 Tennessee Titans).

    Congratulations?

Cincinnati Bengals: 2-14. 4th AFC North.
Washington Redskins: 3-13. 4th NFC East.
    N.Y Giants: 4-12. 3rd NFC East.
Miami Dolphins: 5-11. 4th AFC East.
Miami Dolphins: 5-11. 4th AFC East.
    N.Y Jets: 7-9. 3rd AFC East.
Denver Broncos: 7-9. 2nd AFC West.
Dallas Cowboys: 8-8. 2nd NFC East.
    Pittsburgh Steelers: 8-8. AFC North.
Tennessee Titans: 9-7. 2nd AFC South.

1 whopping win by season's end against an above .500 team? And these are the new powerhouses you all fear of the AFC East? lol. That's pretty funny.

Above .500 teams such as the Patriots x2, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans all beat them (once they weren't sneaking in wins against .500 and below teams).

They went 1-5 against above .500 teams last year. Frauds.

You literally just made a case for why the Jets are even less likely to win the division than the Bills.

    Dolphins
    Steelers
    Raiders
    Cowboys
    Giants
    Redskins
    Bills

Less wins, and the only win over .500 came from the Bills resting their starters.

    Fair enough.

However say what you say about the Jets but there is no way you can claim the division is wide open for only Buffalo when they just went 1-5 against above .500 teams last year and have an inaccurate QB who's more of a glorified runner than a Quarterback who just had an awful 2nd half choke job against a young Watson - who out classed him by miles.

Come 2020 Sam Darnold will be considered the best QB within our division while our Defense becomes much improved with the returns of Mosley/Williamson (possibly Clowney), a 2nd year Quinnen Williams and another year returning to a Gregg Williams defense being led by the best overall defensive threat within the division in Jamal Adams.

JD gives Sam Darnold an improved O-Line and the Jets will then become better than Buffalo while closing the gap on a Bradyless N.E team without Brady for the 1st time in 20 years (after having already losing not 1, not 2, not 3 - but 4 defensive starters to F.A from their last year's #1 Defense).

Jet fans always claim this is now an offensive driven league.

Well now that Tom Brady is in TB who the FK even scares you on that N.E offensive side of the ball anymore?!? lol please, please, please tell me what type of dangerous players N.E now features on offense and without #12 under Center? Little Julian Edeleman? HA! Gronk going to come out of retirement? Hernandez coming back from the dead? Randy Moss coming to save Belly @ 43 years old? Belichick all of a sudden transforming from a Bill Parcells defensive guro to an offensive genius without Brady over night?

It's an offensive league now and just like our Jet Rex Ryan days, N.E & Belly now have no QB and an offense that lacks a lot of talent due to losing talent over the years.

I know the history of our division and the Bills haven't dominated this division since Jim Kelly left. The Dolphins have sucked since Dan Marino left our division and the same thing will happen to N.E now that they've (finally) lost Tom Brady to the NFC.

Division is wide open for Darnold and our Jets.

Bills are the team to beat now. But you play the game and things can change. The Jets just have to have a very impact and effective draft to get back in the playoff hunt.

The Patriots still have an offensive line consisting of Isaiah Wynn, Joe Thuney, Shaq Mason, and Marcus Cannon. As of now, their 4th best lineman is better than our best linemen. They have Julien Edelman, who is better than our best WR as long as he is healthy. Sanu is better than any WR on our roster besides Crowder, and N’Keal Harry struggled with injuries but is still better than anyone we have besides Crowder. Sony Michel had more yards and YPC than Le’Veon Bell last year, plus they have receiving backs.

On defense they still have Dont’a Hightower, Stephon Gilmore, and Devin McCourty who are the key pieces to the success they have had the last few years. The only positions you could say we outclass them would be QB and maybe D-Line.

Wrong. Tom Brady MADE Julian Edelman just as he made Wes Welker and even Danny Woodhead lol.

Tom Brady also always made his O-Lineman better. Much better than what they really were.

Isaiah Wynn? You mean the 1st round injury prone and overrated lineman?

And Sanu? He's been in the league for 8-9 years and 0 1K+ receiving yards (I'm sounding like Jet fans now).

Plz never compare Sony to Bell again or I'll make you look stupid and foolish. Defenses didn't fear "Sony" they feared #12. Let's see how Sony does come 2020 as opposing defenses no longer have to respect Brady and stack 7-8 men inside the box and dare N.E to throw. Let's talk about Sony vs Bell then lol.

I think it’s def wide open. And just because we aren’t making the slash moves don’t mean we won’t have a chance. The bills and dolphins have a lot of new faces as well. And Pats just lost Brady it’s anyone’s game

The green goggles are looking pretty thick there man. Were you this rock hard for the Jets this time last year?

All attitude aside, the Patriots are a much more complete team than the Jets. I don’t have the energy to debate with someone as fanatical as you seem to be, all I can say is New England has gone 13-6 in games Brady didn’t start since 2008, which is well over a decade now. That’s 10 wins for Matt Cassel, 1 for Jimmy Garoppolo, and 2 for Jacoby Brissett. If you convert that to win percentage over a regular season, that tells you Belichick goes 11-5 with backup QB’s.

Cassel is .666 win rate with Belichick, and .388 without him.

Garoppolo is 1.000 win rate with Belichick (small sample size,) and .785 without him.

Jacoby Brissett is .666 win rate with Belichick, and .344 without him.

Garoppolo is hard to really extrapolate only 1 game from, but the others are pretty clearly significantly more likely to win under Belichick. Brissett was 3rd string at the time don’t forget.

If Belichick can maintain his .684 win rate without Brady next year, that’s an 11 win season, likely better than the Jets.

My hope is the Jets are better than I expect, but even if they are the Patriots still are the best overall team in the AFC East.

Don't you dare small sample size me with less than 20 games without Tom Brady as a way of trying to make Bill look good without Tom Brady and/or make him out to look good with QB's not named Tom Brady.

Sorry. But sports doesn't quite work like that.

And Belichick is not the only coach who Cassel has won 10 games for - as he went 10-5 with K.C (without Belichick) in 2010 and made the PRO BOWL (without Belly).

And Jimmy G is doing just fine without Belichick (after learning behind Brady) and coming off a SB run this past year (without Bill).

And that whole Belly going to Cassel from Brady and still winning 10-11 games (and missed the playoffs) doesn't really make Bill Belichick look good @ all (however makes Tom Brady himself look to be the greatest of All-Time).

    2007: Tom Brady.
    16-0 (SB loss).
    398/578 (68.9%).
    4,806 passing yards.
    50 TD passes.
    8 INT's (same as 2019).
    21 sacks.
    117.2 QB Rating.

The very next year once without Tom Brady ala the greatest QB of All-Time? Completely different ball game.

    2008: Matt Cassel.
    11-5 (completely missed the playoffs).
    327/516 (63.4%).
    3,693 yards.
    21 TD passes.
    11 INT's.
    47 sacks (#12 made NE's O-Line way better).
    89.4 QB Rating.

That's a night and day difference (with only 1 year apart) between a Belichick led offense with Brady and one, without #12 (some things never change).

•From a SB appearance to no playoffs at all.
•5 more loses than just the year before.
    •-5.5 differential in completion %.
    •-1,113 differential in passing yards.
    •-29 differential in TD passes.
    •-3 differential in INT's thrown.
    •-26 differential in sacks allowed.
    •-27.8 differential in QB Rating.

Matt Cassel did absolutely nothing better than Tom Brady under Bill's coaching. Nothing at all. Other than make Tom Brady look much better than Cassel could ever dream of becoming.

Anyone who feels and believes that Bill Belichick didn't and/or doesn't need Tom Brady is stupider than a box of rocks.

And PS: Those aren't the only QB's that Bill Belichick has coached throughout his NFL career... So let's not act as if they were.

Your little 'less than 20 games example" (including a big drop off with Cassel during 15 games) won't work with me because the man has coached well over 100+ games without Tom Brady (not, 19) and when talking about being without #12 you're not allowed to erase the bad and only talk up the good. Sports doesn't quite work like that.

Games without Tom Brady (career coaching).

    1991: 6-10.
    Bernie Kosar: 6-10.

    1992: 7-9.
    Todd Philcox: 1-0.
    Mike Tomczak: 4-4.
    Bernie Kosar: 2-5.

    1993: 7-9.
    Todd Philcox: 1-3.
    Bernie Kosar: 3-3.
    Vinny Testaverde: 3-3.

    1994: 11-5.
    Vinny Testaverde: 9-4.
    Mark Rypien: 2-1.

    1995: 5-11.
    Vinny Testaverde: 4-8.
    Eric Zeier: 1-3.

    2000: 5-11.
    Drew Bledsoe: 5-11.

    2001: 0-2.
    Drew Bledsoe: 0-2.

Bill Belichick did not begin to win until his 7th season (week 3 Tom Brady made his first start).

Heading into that week 3 (Tom Brady's 1st ever start) Bill Belichick was a career loser staring at an overall losing record of 41-57 after 6 years + 2 games into his 7th year (16 games below .500 with a winning percentage of only .418% after 98 games). 6 years consisting of 5 below .500 losing seasons and was also 0-2 during the start of his 7th yeas as H.C before Tom Brady magically appeared for him.

    2008: 10-5.
    Matt Casel: 10-5.

    2016: 3-1.
Garoppolo: 2-0 (Did not need Belly to take San Francisco to the SB).
    Jacoby Brissett: 1-1.

If you convert all 10 of Bill Belichick's NFL Quarterbacks (not named Brady) in Kosar/Philcox/Tomczak/Testaverde/Rypien/Zeier/Bledsoe/Cassel/Garoppolo/Brissett into a winning percentage throughout an entire career of head coaching out of Bill, that tells you that Bill Belichick goes 54-63 without Tom Brady (.461%) throughout 117 games consisting of 7.3 years with only 2 winning seasons in comparison to 5 losing seasons of below .500 football. Only 1 playoff appearance in comparison to 6 years of no postseason play after 7 season's of no Tom Brady

You are what your record says you are.

And throughout 283 games Bill Belichick is 219-64 with Tom Brady (63.8%) with 9 SB appearances and another 30-11 playoff record after 17 postseason appearances.

And throughout 117 games Bill Belichick is 54-63 without Tom Brady (.461%) with 0 SB appearances and only a 1-1 playoff record after only 1 postseason appearance.

That tells me that A.) He can win with Tom Brady & B.) He can not win without Tom Brady.

People say that Bill Belichick "can win without Tom Brady"? Prove it. Because he's never won squat without Brady. When has he ever won without Tom Brady? Never..

I don't think Tom Brady ever started a full season and missed the playoffs. 17 postseason appearances. I could be wrong, but I don't think Brady ever missed the playoffs if not for injury.

But I do know that Bill Belichick has missed the playoffs throughout 6 out of 7 years without Tom Brady and only has a 1-1 playoff record with QB's not named Tom Brady throughout his entire coaching career.

Bill Belichick is going to become exposed without Tom Brady and will never get even close to winning another SB without #12 just like he's never even ever came close without him (7 years).

PS: Bill does not have a .684% winning percentage without Tom Brady as you claimed (19 games) - he has a career losing percentage of .461% without Brady (117 games).

The NFL is wide open every year. The Bills have a very good team. While Allen isn't a very accurate QB adding Diggs with Brown will allow them to drive the ball down the field with a low completion percentage. The AFC East is going to play a tougher schedule. Hard to see a Wild card coming out of the division. 9 wins may well win the division this year.

I like what Douglas has done so far. It's way to early to in the offseason to say it's wide open. The offseason is a competition and we have been losing it for years.

Tom Brady being gone from the Pats may make them better. He didn't look good down the stretch. Hard to know if it was him or the team around him. If it was him the Pats might be even better. TBD.

You need cliff notes? Fine. I'll make my post more user friendly to read.

First and foremost don't you dare try and small sample size me with only under 20 games of coaching without Tom Brady ("19") when in reality Bill Belichick has coached well over 100+ games without Tom Brady @ QB throughout his NFL coaching career (nice try though).

    • Belichick is not the only coach who Cassel has won 10 games for either - as he went 10-5 with K.C (without Belichick) in 2010 and made the PRO BOWL (without Bill Belichick).

And the whole "Belichick going to Cassel from Brady and still winning 10-11 games" (and missed the playoffs) doesn't really make Bill Belichick look good @ all (however makes Tom Brady himself look to be the greatest of All-Time).

    2007: Tom Brady.

    398/578 (68.9%).
    4,806 passing yards.

    21 TD passes.
    11 INT's.
    47 sacks (#12 made NE's O-Line way better).
    89.4 QB Rating.

Huge drop off from Brady to no Brady (see below).

    • And in case you haven't noticed but Jimmy G is doing just fine without Belichick (after learning behind Brady) and coming off of a SB run this past year (without Belichick).

PS: Cassel/Garoppolo/Brissett aren't the only (3) QB's that Bill Belichick has coached throughout his NFL career outside of Tom Brady... So please; let's not act as if they were.

Games without Tom Brady (career coaching).

Bill Belichick did not begin to win until his 7th season as H.C (week 3 of 2001 is when Tom Brady made his first ever NFL start).

    • Heading into week 3 of 2001 (Tom Brady's 1st ever start) Bill Belichick was a career loser (without Brady).

    • Bill had an overall losing record of 41-57 after 6 years + 2 games into his 7th year (before Brady).

    Matt Casel: 10-5.

    2016: 3-1.
    Garoppolo: 2-0.
    Jacoby Brissett: 1-1.

Bill Belichick has coached 10 QB's (not named Tom Brady).

    1.) Kosar (11-18).

    8.) Cassel (10-5).
    9.) Garoppolo (2-0).
    10.) Brissett (1-1).

    • Bill Belichick has an All-Time career losing record of 54-63 without Tom Brady (117 games/7.3 years).

    • Bill Belichick has a career losing percentage of only .461% without Tom Brady.

    • Bill Belichick has coached 7 full years without Tom Brady and during those 7 years he's only had 2 winning seasons in comparison to 5 losing seasons consisting of only 1 playoff appearance/6 seasons of no postseason play and a playoff record of only 1-1.

Tom Brady saved his coaching career.

AFC East is wide open to the team that drafts well over the next 2-5 years.

I do believe Darnold is the best QB in the division, but he has a terrible supporting cast.

I know a lot of us are home due to this virus thingy and you have a lot of time in your hands. But my friend. You don't have to convince every soul on this board that your thoughts are the right ones. Agree to disagree. Try not to post same thing over and over and over at every opportunity you get.

Maximus is a treasure for this board with his football insights. I am afraid he will be tired and just give up on this board. Come on brother. Take it easy and move on huh?

How can anyone sit here and tell me that Bill Belichick can "win without Tom Brady" when even Bill Belichick himself has never won jack squat and has won absolutely nothing without #12? Someone please tell me another QB he's ever won with? Because I can show you plenty who he's won absolutely nothingness with.

Good luck to a defensive coach in Bill Belichick starting all over without Tom Brady @ the age of 67 (because he'll need every bit of it).

Bill Belichick can take all the credit in the world for Defense (as a Bill Parcells disciple) but it's been offensive coordinators such as Charlie Weis for 5 years 2000-2004 (who was also our 1998 offensive coordinator) and Josh McDaniels who's been their offensive coordinator for the previous 7 years 2012-2019 who deserve way more credit for Tom Brady as those have been Tom's QB coach/offensive coordinators who've called the plays and worked alongside #12; not "Bill Belichick".

Bill Belichick should also thank Bill Parcells for Adam Vinatieri (a N.E hero) who was brought to N.E in 1996 before Belichick even arrived just as the likes of Teddy Bruschi, Ty Law, Willie McGinest and Lawyer Milloy etc were already there before Belichick ever arrived.

And if a so called defensive guru had any bit of offensive knowledge (whatsoever) I highly doubt that an offensive genius (which Bill has never been) would've ever allowed Tom Brady to get drafted during the 6th round (199 overall) while also passing Tom Brady not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not even five times but SIX TIMES (Klemm/Redmond/Robinson-Randall/Stachelski/Marriott/Harris).

Some of you are more clueless and naive than I ever could've imagined in regards to the overall history of Bill Belichick.

Adam freaking Gase (who you all hate) has an almost identical head coaching record with the same amount of playoff appearances (1) as Bill Belichick did after his first 4 years as an NFL head coach. Food for thought for the Gase critics. And unlike Bill Belichick early on, Adam Gase has never inherited a Bill Parcells built locker room and football team..

I'd say it was posted as a huge fuck you myself, then again it might have taken him 21 minutes to copy and paste it from the other 1000 times he has posted that effort this week.
