Once the season is over Joe Douglas will be the happiest guy in the league. He will have his own coach, big cap space and control of the draft. At #2 he has Cincinnati desperate to get the tackle to protect their beat up young QB. and Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit and all the way down to SF. looking for a QB. Presently Miami is at #3 and they are not taking a QB.again so he can go down and get a haul. Can't wait.
I do not see the Bengals giving up too much to select 2 . they have too many holes and there are quite a few good tackles latter in the draft. If TL goes 1, it is hard to market the number 2 pick , since it should probably be a qb, when you probably need a qb more than any team in the league. If we trade out or select a qb at 2 , the fins are not taking Sewell (parsons or carr),Falcons taking whoever the fins do not take . Sewell could easy be there at 5 for the BengalsThis is just not a great draft to be #2,or the fins at 3. Side note the fins control the draft. They have much better picks than us
Great play by Mims! Sam's lack of field vision is my big worry with him. There are so many examples of this in three seasons. Like I have said before, I am not sure if every QB has tape like this, I am sure they do on at least some plays, but it seems like Sam misses a lot of these opportunities. Especially deep passes.
The Jets need a QB more than anyone? Joe Douglas was the happy when the team won. Now he can build a team the way he wants without listening to the media and fans. He will look to trade down and load up on picks. He has to make team believe he is taking a QB. He will stick with Sam.
The fins will take Sewell if he is there at 3. What we need is the Texans to win and get Miami out of the top 5.
That's one of the reasons I want to move on from him. I could be wrong, but I don't think this is something that can be taught/learned. I think QBs either innately have the ability to see the whole field or they don't. If I am wrong, I think that lack of ability could be because of fear of the pass rush so they just lock on to a route or maybe 2 routes, and are afraid to survey the whole field.
You're right. After Superbowl 46, she said, "My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Yeah, agreed, but that is because he never had proper protection his first couple seasons. Now he doesn't take the right amount of time to process. Unsure if that is fixable or not. More of a general comment, not just that play, but yeah we don't know how much of it is on Sam or not. It is one of the reasons it is hard to evaluate if he should return in 2021 or not. Yeah, my question is Does Sam do this more than other QB's or is there tape of Mahomes missing wide open WR's, Rodgers missing wide open WR's etc and it just can't be helped when you run 60 plays a game. Hard for me to know.
