In regards to Perriman, he also had a solid stint with the Browns prior to this last season. I wouldn't say he is clearly above and beyond the player Robbie is. I just like his upside more. It looks like he might be rounding into form after all those early career injuries, and he will likely come cheap. Again, this was my thinking before the market on Robbie completely dried up, but everything being equal, my preference is still taking a shot on Perriman. But, I completely understand someone making the case for Robbie at the same dollar amount because of the chemistry he has with Sam and familiarity with our offense. It's a legit case. I have to disagree with you on the point of them not being a dime a dozen. IMO, the wide receivers at Robbie's level are a dime a dozen. I think your point about us not finding a good one - again - speaks more about our organization than it does anything else. We've had horrible front office people who seemed allergic to the offensive side of the ball for a decade. The fact we haven't had good WRs in a while doesn't prove there are barely any out there. It proves our organization has been incompetent. And, I was half joking regarding my post. It does seem that way though. I remember last year arguing with a few people who wanted AB, and I disagreed because it would be a disaster. Sometimes, we need to go out on a limb no matter who it upsets. I'm more than happy to do so when I can.
We only have three safeties on the roster right now. He’d be the fourth plus it sounds like he’s a special teams guy.
I'd rather have Robby back just because of the familiarity he has with the offense but I'm highly intrigued with Perriman if Robby so chooses to bolt...
Nelson Agholor is signing a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Another competitor for Robby, time to come home.
He plays a similar role to Jamal, more of an in the box safety...hybrid LB...I'd bet he would be in a similar position
Brian Hoyer released. He is a solid option to back-up Sam. Other options are Matt Moore, Joe Flacco, Drew Stanton, Mike Glennon, and of course re-signing Trevor Siemian.
I have no problem with that. Regardless of my preference, I'd be foolish not to acknowledge the fact that those things matter when you are evaluating players at a somewhat similar level. I'm just intrigued by Perriman's upside, which I feel is higher than Robbie's.
Hey, no one said that we had to agree on everything or even anything. That's what makes this place interesting and the world go around. I hope you'll post more.
Not a fan of face/neck tats, not really a fan of tats at all tbh but the former are the worst, there are going to be some weird looking old folk walking about in future times that's for sure.
Who says they won’t. He hasn’t signed with anyone yet. But you keep hoping against it. Keep your eye on that 4th string bargain safety Douglas has his eyes on. Fingers crossed.
We signed Matthias Farley from the Colts last season and we signed Anthony Cioffi in February and I thought we had another as well last season but can't remember tbh I just thought 5 safeties in a 56 was a lot but nobody is answering that question for some reason?
