they ran the ball well but they also used Fant a bit for PA pass and to protect because the rest of the line wasn’t good. Again I’d like to see him in a more natural spot on the line.
Its disgusting to watch the Bill's the past 2 years do this. Miami has enough draft capital to completely overhaul the entire roster. Yet the Jets continue to be the Jets
Yeah, I would say 3 teams that were near the Jets level BLEW BY them today in the Bills, Dolphins and Browns. Loved the moves each of them made so far. We can't react too fast on the first day of Free Agency, but it feels like it will be tough for the Jets to fill all their holes with quality players. It will be an uphill battle in 2020 at this rate.
You can’t get on the Jets for Diggs. The Bills gave up a slew of picks for Diggs. Jets never should have even considered that.
Joe would never bring a guy like Diggs in. He's too much of a me player. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
A short sighted move that will kill that team when they have to draft Allen's replacement. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
I actually like the Jets aren't overspending on Players. Byron wasn't worth that kinda money, big money to van not for 6 sacks? Diggs is an OK move but hes an explosive personality that will kill that team. And they didn't have bad receivers These moves will look great for a year maybe but they'll all blow up. They were the 3rd worst in pass protection and that was with 6 lineman. So with their starting 5 and Fant they were terrible at pass blocking. As bad as the rest of the line was,Fant couldn't supplant any of them to take the spot. It's not like he was up against elite competition
Our only spending on offense last year was on a washed up running back, a slot receiver (which was a decent signing), and a washed up center.
Looking forward to staying positive and enjoy the fact I won't jump off the fan wagon when Douglas pulls his magic. Patience grasshoppers, patience.
You do realize that they just gave up a 2020 1st round pick, a 2020 5th round pick, a 2020 6th round pick, and a 2021 4th round pick. Four draft picks for a wide reviever right before a draft that has one of the best receiving groups in a long time. You wanted Douglas to spend 4 draft picks on a wide reviever? Lol
Everyone thinking that Douglas is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers should take a look at how that Eagles championship team was built. They spent money on names, they made trades... they didn’t sit and wait and hope third tier guys would get the job done.
I don't know what is dumber, watching the Dolphins spend like kings in free agency on a corner or watching the Bills hand over 4 fuckin draft picks for a wide receiver. Thank you Jesus that Douglas didn't make that move. Holy hell
I looked up his stats, and was pretty surprised to see this past year was his only 1k yard season. I feel like people talk him up as a true #1, but is he though?
It appears that Fant was signed to play at LT https://www.nbcsports.com/northwest...eorge-fant-agrees-3-year-30-million-deal-jets
He's a stud but not worth 4 fuckin draft picks. That's ridiculous. Especially with this 2020 draft coming up that is LOADED with wide receivers.
That team was mostly built thru the draft. They had so many home grown players in that team. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Oh I definitely agree on not doing the trade. It does suck that our fellow rivals got better though. I really hope we take 2 receivers in the first 4 rounds. I know we have a lot of needs, but it's worth it imo.
