surprised to see folks still optimistic about getting W's even with darnold back. IMO, he needs to come back and play lights out - better than the end of last year - to carry this team to some W's. Even with that it will be likely a 3-5 win season. That will also erase some of the doubt that may be creeping into minds about picking darnold. Relax folks, he will certainly be a quality starter and more but the jury is still out as to whether that will be enough for this cursed franchise. throw in a couple more injuries to the few studs we have left and this could really unravel kotite style.
Last night was really fun. All of my buddies texting me from all over the country reminding me how much the Jets suck was so funny. I'll forever cherish the repeated sight of five Jets OL standing and looking behind themselves as Cleveland defenders pile on our hapless QB. Or the beloved vision of Marcus Maye running away from Beckham as he runs towards the end zone. And to think that we've got two more nationally televised games! What a time to be a Jets fan!
Maybe the Johnsons will realize that they are out of their element and turn it over to Joe Douglas. The team needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Find a coach and run the organization the way the normal ones are run. With Douglas at the head only answering to 1.
Should be an entertaining race this year between the Jets and Dolphins for that #1 overall pick. One is trying to get there intentionally to rebuild the team from the ground up while they other is taking the five-alarm dumpster fire route to the #1 overall pick. May the worst team win.
Unless Darnold misses the whole season, the Jets aren't getting the #1 pick. The Dolphins are much worse.

Dont conflate what's happening for enjoying what is happening. We are starting a THIRD STRING QB, we are without Avery Williamson, Cj Mosley, Darnold, Enunwa, Herndon, etc. No excuses for some of the stuff we have seen on field and that falls on Gase but WTF did you expect chief?
