Couldn’t agree more. I’m on the verge of not supporting until the team is worth a damn. I’ll resurface and care in about 10 years when we finally have it together, have a winning record, and are worth rooting for.
team's never quit on Ryan, even tho the GM did. can't say the same for Mangini, Bowles, or Gase in Miami (and potentially here)
The Jets needed to start 2-0 to have any chance this season since they have a brutal schedule to start but once they lost last week and with Darnold going down, it’s going to snowball and I can see some players start to quit. The crappy thing for folks hoping for a top 3 pick is there it will be hard to NOT win 5 games with some of teams we play mid season. There is a lot of just downright bad teams in the NFL this year.
Of course we will...can’t wait for the rest of the blah 4-12/ 5-11 season that awaits us I actually had expectations that we could compete for the playoffs this year which makes it even worse than usual
There are bad teams but luckily we are likely one of the worst. Only upside is that Miami won’t trade out of the number one pick so maybe we’ll do the sensible thing and trade down if we pick right behind them.
But it was clear from a mile away we would lose this one. MNF, rematch of the first MNF game. The Jets lost then, they were definitely going to lose now. No chance we would win this game.
Nah I wasn’t listening to them...just had high hopes for the offense...bought in to Gase and Didn’t realize how shit the o-line really is and that’s on me I guess
Its funny how people keep talking about the bad teams we have on our schedule after the first 7. The Jets are a bad team on everyone else’s schedule. They have been for most of this decade.
I can see them beating Jacksonville, Cincy, Miami x2, and the Giants. But then again, they are just as bad that they could definitely lose any of them. I don’t think I’ve been as down on a NYJ team since Kotite.
I disagree. As long as Sam returns, the Jets will win some games. If he is out the first 7 games, then yeah, 0-7 is possible. If he returns Week 5, the Jets can win some of those games. It makes no sense when people make assumptions like that. Football is crazy. Anything could happen any game. That is why they play. Okay, this week doesn't count. Pats by 50, but after that.
Yep. I'm thinking 1-15 if not 0-16. The team appears completely and totally inept. The other teams that are sucking have shown at least a small ability to move the ball and score, but the Jets haven't even shown that.
True, but that was one game, and he had mono. I know he is a better player than that. The o-line is concerning though.
Maccagnan isn’t even on the organization anymore and right now is the guy I fucking hate the most. Gase isn’t good either but really Maccagnan is on a whole another level. Hairston (JD’s guy) played his heart out and held his own over Mac’s free agent who’s supposed to be the #1 CB but was benched. So I know this is a fucking bummer, I know it stings and sucks and it’s unbelievable the place we are in right now but let’s not lose our sight here, this is mostly Mac’s roster and the GM now is Joe Douglas and has done everything to try to improve so far so just give him time. Ballard and Dorsey didn’t turn around their franchise in one season (let alone half of one since Joe wasn’t here until after free agency and the draft).
