there's 4 of the 5 home runs in the books. Granderson with his 2nd of the night now, he's one behind cabrera but i don't think he'll get another at bat.
they keep scoring, granderson will get another at bat after all. 12=3 yanks, O's lost already. Can Cano go 5 for 5?
they pinch hit for granderson, odd, i figured they'd want a yankee to tie for the home run title, at least try for it, strange, then again it is 14-2.
no one wanted the home run title dunn and encarnacion both sat out today. Miggy was pulled after a few innings.
Sterling: "is this the last strike of the year?" I guess the Yankees missed the playoffs in his mind.
someone explain to me how the yankees with the best record must start out on the road this post season be it texas or baltimore. seems like a weird setup to me.
three games at home, two on the road. new 2-3 format According the article I read, next year it goes back to 2-2-1. Not sure why the change.
gotta gain a split no matter how they do it. if they don't split, it really doesn't seem like a home field advantage. preferably, i'd rather play the O's than the Rangers, but the Yanks ended fairly well and could be coming together at the right time, and at least they get to set up their pitching as opposed to the O's and Rangers.
texas is a much better team and has better starting pitching. The Orioles only had one starter who even had 10 wins.
Being that no matter who it ends up being, the Yanks will have to start out on the road for the 1st 2 games, so I'll take Baltimore. careful what i wish for though.
i'm with you, i am actually pissed off at this set up. but the yanks do get to set up their rotation as the O's and Rangers are all in for this one game. i bet the 2-3 format will throw a wrench into some teams works.
if you ask me, the Tigers, with the least amount of wins of anyone in the post season, got the best draw of all the teams. They have the first 2 at home against the A's.
Does anyone remember the first year of the wild card? That was 2-3 format. We win 2 games in NY then shit the bed in Seattle and lose 3 games in a row. You can thank Buck the Suck Showalter's shitty managing for that
