Yep, was squeezing a bit in the 7th after the Rays scored 3, but the bullpen held. Great outing by Nova.

Kuroda was solid. Hitters also did a nice job as well. Yankees take the series win 2 out of 3.

After the Jets loss today, all I can say is thank god it's still baseball season.

Andy went 5 scoreless in the first game, Yanks holding on to a 3-0 lead in the 8th, i'd
say they need both of these games today. Jeter sitting the first one out.

5 game winning streak and still clinging to a 1 game lead.
    O's won't go away.
    Oakland tonight, not easy.

weirdest baseball season i've seen in a while. hell of a way to answer back after going down 9-5 in the 13th. holy shit, the O's also won in 12 innings today, and are still
only a game back. imagine the yanks not on a 7 game streak right now and they could be 2 or 3 games back as baltimore is on a streak of their own.
Awfully tough loss for the A's, and last night was just as painful for them.
The Angels still have a shot, it's a long one but are still in the mix, and chicago has lost 3 in a row leaving the tigers only a game back. these last 10-11 games are going to be hairy.
Way to go Pinstripes!! I hope they continue to play strong despite the constant headache manager Mr. Girardi who I truly have never liked as a manager.
What a game. keep the streak going boys!!

Yeah, for all the talk about how the Yanks "blew" that ten-game lead, it really needs to be pointed out just how insanely hot the Orioles have been... which is, frankly, amazing considering their run differential is STILL negative.

Since August 4th, the O's have been playing .690 ball (which would be good for 113 wins over a 162-game schedule). An .882 winning percentage in extra-inning games helps, as does the .771 win % in one-run games.

    Caps,
I've been overly guilty about not giving the O's respect this season all the way up until they lit the Yanks up and tied them. Now I respect them.
I hope Pettitte can get enough work in to be nice and warm for the playoffs.
Was awesome to see CC throw like he did last night, Hughes seems to have gotten a little momentum, i feel better right now than i did over a week ago,
a 7 game win streak can do that to you, haaa!!

Yep, same here... I remember a few prognosticators in preseason saying Balt. was going to be good this year and I snickered.
They are better than good, they are beasting right now...
