The Steelers lines are just in shambles. They've now lost their first 3 offensive tackles, the starting defensive ends. The offensive line was below average to begin with and now it's just bad. Playing the Pats without Smith and Keisel is extremely difficult.
Indy outside does not inspire confidence. And Chi looks like a paper bear. If we can go up there and beat them, we should be in good shape. (essentially, if we win the next 3 (Houston,Cincy,NE) and get to 10-2, and peg them at 9-3 we should be in great shape)
You mean the abysmal run defense that shut down Price, Peterson, Benson, and Mendenhall (10 rushes for 20+ yards and 1 rush for 20+). Hillis is the only RB to torch them this year, or run for 100 yards. Tomlinson is the only other one to have any real success. The Pats obviously don't have the d the Jets have but, but they are improving.
- Brady's average per attempt last night was 8.19 yards. Hardly a "dink-and-dunk" type of number if, you know, you watch football much. (His average per attempt for the season is now 7.2. Mark Sanchez' season average is 6.7. Just sayin'.) - The hit by Sanders on Hines Ward was completely not malicious. I'm not sure how anyone watches that play and decides otherwise unless your hatred for the Patriots has completely clouded your judgment. He'll probably be fined since it's his responsibility to remain in control, but that in no way appeared to be head-hunting. - This isn't the defense you guys saw in Week 2. They'll have their ups and downs, but you'll find out in about three more weeks what kind of unit this has become. Yeah, I keep saying the same thing about you guys.
If any player on the Steelers deserves it besides Harrison...It's Ward. This a guy that relishes getting the crackback on a defender that doesn't see him coming.
F*** Hines ward. He's certainly earned it in any case. I don't like Buck Frady, but he made some really nice throws last night, but his YPA is higher because Schotty calls Schitty plays in the 1-10 yard range. Instead of a 75-80% completion rate, he's got Sanchez under 60. It's what the Pats do very well, (as well as Indy) that it boggles the mind that Schitty hasn't picked up from game film.
You do know what YAC is right? Point is just spread them out, throw short passes and let em run. No one is saying Tom has a average arm or anything, don't worry.
Yeah I've got a vague idea. The longest pass play of the game was to Tate, and he was tackled immediately. God forbid you just say, "yeah, the guy's pretty damn good."
