Are you sure he wasn't that 6 year old in Green Bay who yelled at Rogers "No on loves you! You Suck!"

    The article isn't terrible.

Hate to rain on everyone's parade here, but this is a 50-50 deal. This is a guy who has a monstrous ego and a lot of times allows his own mental state to become bigger than the team. Anyone who has watched him over the last few years has sometimes caught a guy who is slightly disinterested and throws balls away.

I'm also extremely worried about the Randy Johnson effect. This is not a New York guy.

Make no mistake, Favre is light years better than what we had, but his state of mind and willingness to grasp an incredibly complex play book(after about 16 years of the same system) worries the hell out of me.

I don't have any huge problem with Clayton and I don't think he hates the Jets at all. Be prepared for some corners of the media to not approve of this trade. The proof is in the pudding.

That has never really bothered me. The media tends to know very little about football. Getting a journalism job is a matter of the connections you make and the school you attend. They usually go ga-ga over whatever team makes the biggest splashes in free agency, though that team rarely ever makes the playoffs(uggh!!!)

The positives outweigh the negatives here for the Jets is the bottom line. Worst case scenario, Favre throws 20 touchdowns and 15 picks, and then we're just as competitive as we'd be with Pennington. Best case scenario, he propels us into the playoffs. It's not a bad move in that regard.

All I'm saying is temper expectations. Don't expect a Super Bowl run.
