actually i would guarantee every year that we would not. Im very pessimistic and been a jets fan for 40 years so this is very new for me.
remember that when we have double digit wins this season. We had the worst QB play in the league. It was amazing we got 7.
its a process, did you expect to make the playoffs the first year they arrived? We have gotten better every year and will continue that trend this year.
Douglas completely overhauled this roster. Probably the best top to bottom in the division. It would be idiotic to fire him
Douglas had a good 2023 draft save McDonald. McDonald was not the best player available by far, and was not needed. I think the jets deepest position pre-draft WAS DE, except for possibly TE. Also with Q holding out for now, I am shocked Douglas did not draft a DT. And as far as I saw, none of the unrestricted free agents signed play DT either. That may have changed. They must really want Franklin Myers and Clemons will take snaps at DT.
Let me know when that translates to wins right now he is still 20-46. A abysmal record for a gm who has been here 4 years. If the Jets do anything short of playoffs this year his ass is out the door. It's all hype now that's all it is. We are a Aaron Rodgers injury or a further regression away from sucking once again. We are banking our future on a guy who is 40 and is coming off one of the worst years of his career sorrounding him with a questionable offensive line. How does that guarantee us anything? He isn't even a top 5 quarterback in the league at this point in his career.
