were these the same bookies that set the 1999 Rams 300:1 to win the Superbowl? Or put the Jets 18 point underdogs to win the Superbowl? Bookies just make educated guesses that's all. Jets success now depends on 1 player one that they have failed to protect, If we get last years Ar or the Jets crappy offensive line lets him get injured we gonna stink like always while setting the franchise back another 10 years trying to find another Qb to be our savior.

You can challenge Vegas all you want. They are right far more than they are wrong. And continue to make billions on account of using the right spread and right odds and in depth information you cant even dream of. . You know where that money comes from, fans that think they know better.

No it comes from Degenerate gamblers paying 10% vig and betting 20 games a day, vegas wants you to place as many bets on both sides, that is their jobs. They don't know who will win the superbowl like the rest of us. They just make money of problem gamblers and the vig.

I don't disagree with that aspect for individual games, nor do I disagree that is hard to predict who will win the SB or even reach the SB. But the odds for winning the division or SB or whatever ranking are originally based on strength of schedule and strength of team and adjusted thru time. Before AR Jets would not have sniffed the same low odds you get now.
Yep. Injuries also force the bookies to adjust the original spread.

Yeah but they want you to lay money on prop bets that's alot of their income, even if the Jets strike lightning and Arod becomes his former Mvp self again which is highly unlikely right now, the Jets will still have to beat Burrow, Mahomes, Josh Allen, hell even Miami who will compete for the Division this season to get to the superbowl yet win it. Than you factor in any injury's that may happen to key players, so yeah bookies would love for you to bet your house right now for the Jets to win the superbowl at 14:1, they pray emotional Jet fans bet as much as they can on a long shot horse because obviously there are 31 that can win the superbowl to. My friend was a bookie in Chicago and said fans bet on emotion that's how they make their money, every weekend they Used to jack their spread up 3 points for the Bears compared to Vegas and 95% of his callers still bet the Bears, so now I bet alot of people took that 14:1 on the Jets because of all the hype sorrounding Ar, but they are betting with Emotion not seeing that the Jets still have no offensive line, and their head coach and offensive coordinator is a big question mark.

I love this argument. Morgan Moses has said and is quoted saying he wanted to play for a contender, something he did not see the jets as. This is why he left.

We don't believe this, but we believe that "a few mil" would have changed his mind... Something that he has not said once.

Moses said one thing, didn't say the other. Clearly, the other is the truth. Since you are in sync with Moses and his thinking, how much exactly would it have taken for him to give up his dream of hoisting a SB trophy to stay on a perennial losing franchise?

Agree with your buddy. Vegas was built on people emotions and weaknesses.

Perhaps you know Morgan Moses well, perhaps had we actually made a reasonable offer he would have stayed. We didn’t, so we’ll never know.

Sure thing boss. Your are right, you definitely don't know anything other than Moses specifically stating he was leaving the Jets to play for a contender.

You want to complain about every move and place blame somewhere, I get it. It's the popular thing to do on his board. Mims doesn't suck because of his actions, it's the CS. Moses didn't choose to go play for a contender, which he is quoted saying he did, JD didn't offer him enough money

I’m not complaining at all. I didn’t expect OL at all in the first round, none of the guys are starter quality day one. I’m actually quite happy with the current state of the team. Boss.

Could have sworn you were posting about how it's JDs fault Moses isn't on the team and we over payed Brown because JD didn't offer him more money, not that Moses wanted to play for a contender. Guess it was all a dream

Actually you were quoting my response to someone else and inserting all your boss bravado, boy. Yes, I do think the Jets should have made a better effort to at least show Moses that he meant something to our franchise. We didn’t and Moses left. That’s last year, I don’t gaf about it anymore. We have the same problem this year but there isn’t anything we can do about it right now, so I’m not gonna whine like everyone else.

On June 7, 2019, Douglas signed a six-year contract to become the general manager of the New York Jets. in 2019-2020 the Jets were 7-9. 2018-2019 before he was hired they went 2-14. Your just wrong.

2022 New York Jets General Manager 7-10-0 0-0
2021 New York Jets General Manager 4-13-0 0-0
2020 New York Jets General Manager 2-14-0 0-0
2019 New York Jets General Manager 7-9-0 0-0
2018 Philadelphia Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel 9-7-0 1-1

The Jets went 4-12 in 2018-2019. And the 2019-2020 team was basically Maccagnan's because Maccagnan ran both free agency and the draft in 2019. By the time Douglas took over in June, the important offseason work had already been done.

I was responding to someone saying the 2-14 was on JD, it was not. Whatever way you slice it even with the Zach Wilson pick the current management has turned our team from a 2-14 joke into at the least a playoff team.

We made the playoffs with current management? When was this I must be living in a different universe? Right now we are hyped to make the playoffs but if you can't see how this organization fucks everything up and is cursed your living in a different world last 20 years, let me know when we actually make the playoffs because right now we have the longest playoff drought in all of sports and the Afc is to good to pencil us in for anything just yet.
