Yes, Vegas Sportsbook are known for being delusional…. Silly Bookies saying we’re too 5 to win the SB don’t know what they’re talking about.
Actually what I wanted was to keep Moses at the 5m a year he got, but he was too expensive for JD so he paid Brown 10m a year instead.
Vegas bases its odds on bets placed, amongst other things, so that it makes a profit whatever happens.
Actually what I said was in order to justify not taking OL, Sauce would need to be an all world CB. So far he has been.
WRONG try 2-14. Since he has been here we went to 4 wins, then 7 wins, and probably at 10-12 this coming year.
JD took over in 2019 after the draft and free agency and the Jets went 7-9. In 2020 they went 2-14. In 2021 they went 4-13 and last year they went 7-10. JD's record is 20-46 but his record in years when he had full control is 13-37.
On the whole, I do like what's being built and feel pretty good about JD and Saleh. It's a good roster and they should finally take that next step forward in 2023. I can excuse the results to some extent given where this team was a few years ago, but the fact is they did collapse last year and this team needs to be a serious contender this year and beyond. I still think this is very possible so that's a good place to be. I'm going to try to keep an open mind to Will McDonald - as always, can't judge a draft fully for some years - but my initial reaction wasn't great. Everyone knew the Jets wanted an OT and one got snatched ahead of them and then they passed on a great WR prospect for an offense that doesn't have any long term answers in the slot. So I don't have a great taste at the current moment but looking at the bigger picture
I like your optimism. I think we ll be a better team than last year. I think we ll def be a better offensive team with a veteran QB and Breece Hall. My concern is the level of schedule the team is playing. Chiefs, Chargers, Cowboys, etc is much more difficult. Not saying we can’t beat sine if those teams but pressure in AR and the team to at least beat half of those top echelon teams.
Hey JD Thanks for last years draft.. Other than that you deserve to be ranked 21st among all GMs because we have a losing record and lots of hopes/could be great one days Poor choice at HC ..wasted a pick for Mormon Boy the Bust..garbage and bargain bin for OL signings Just great
Don't forget drafted Becton who is most definately another bust, and gave Greenbay whatever they wanted for a guy they were desperate to trade and that not one other team so much gave a offer for. And now hamgstrung the Jets cap so much in 2024 that I wonder how in the world they will resign Williams
Becton and Brown were never on the active roster at the same time… I’m just pointing out your post isn’t based on reality.
I can accept some fans been delusional, the real question is which ones. To your point, Vegas odds are based on overall people sentiments and probability of success, and the Jets just moved way the hell up in that category.
C'mon. How about the Jamaal trade? The Darnold trade? Ridiculous post. Unfortunately for us, a "good GM" seems like an "awesome GM" because we are Jets fans. That's just how it still is.
