This is where the thread should end. There isn’t a single logical argument you can make to keep the guy here unless you’re only looking at Darnold’s stat line and the final scores from the last 3-4 weeks.
Late game collapses are maddening. Are they because the D is winded? Sometimes. Is it because good coaches have late game situational ball and our shitstain does not? It was hard to watch a jets game this season & not notice how disorganized,undisciplined & just all out poorly coached the team truly is. The talent may not be great but its better than 4 wins & vastly overshadowed by the terrible coaching.. Bowles formulai is severely flawed.You cant be ultra conservative,be undisciplined,have clueless game management ,players who dont communicate & expect to win anything.Hes had 4 years to change & up until this last month he actually got WORSE than better.

I stopped caring when I knew the season was in the crapper and then just kept focusing on more or less strictly on Shoe Booty. I actually had some hope early on in the season because, well, that idiot thing I have. I went for 7-9 as a prediction, but I honestly didn't expect the thundering horde of penalties. It got to the point where it was surreal, even though the refs are terrible. It started giving me flashbacks of my childhood. I thought my real middle name was Holding and not Marie. EDIT: More brain. Focusing on more or less strictly. What the fck am I talking about? I've been in fine form the last couple of days. I'm leaving it because it makes me laugh.
Actually, the charge was to make progress. It can be reasonably calculated that developing Darnold is part of that, but only part of it. From the outside we don't know if Darnold's improvement (skyrocket is a bit much) in recent weeks has been because of efforts of the coaching staff or in spite of it. We do know that the same old problems have persisted and today brings us news of players, purportedly professional adults, are having a tough time showing up at team functions. as required. How much more will come out after the season closes to prove how leaky the ship really is? Overall, I grade a D- for progress.
At the beginning of the season I relinquished myself to only caring about darnold's progress. Other than him they didn't really address any other needs.
