Why do you feel this way? They already had DeSean Jackson, who is basically the same player as Jeremy Maclin - they need size at the receiver position. LeSean McCoy will be a solid runner behind Westbrook, but I believe our back, Shonn Greene, will be the better pro. Many feel Ingram's knee is a HUGE liability. It may never fully recover. Macho is an undersized, slowish corner that slid for those two reasons. Tupou is a solid depth pick - he could become a starter down the line. I'd give probably give them a C+
The Eagles problem on offense for the last five or so seasons is that they can't run between the tackles when they need to. They still can't.
Panthers didn't need much time to make their pick. Neither would I at this point. Duke Robinson was a slamdunk.
Loved both the Maclin and McCoy picks. Maclin is a similar player to Jackson but they needed players at WR, period. I think Maclin is more than capable of starting over both Brown and Curtis. Ingram is probably their lone pick I disliked. We disagree with Macho though, I think he is versatile and a physical corner who doesnt let up much. I thought he was better than Flowers who got drafted from KC in round 2 and I was high on Flowers as well. I agree with Tupou too, only thing with him is Eagles are kind of crowded at Tackle. Should be able to replace Runyan in due time though. Id give them an A.
What do you think about the safties Hamlin and Cook? They could very well be there in round 6 and we only have Smith (urgh) as a back-up...
You give them an A, but you don't like one of their picks? In order to get an A, every pick has to be perfect. Steveo is a VT guy - and he's not high on Macho Harris...
A+ is an absolutely perfect draft. Eagles didnt have an absolutely perfect one but this is still a strong one. Add in that Eagles got Hobbs for essentially nothing and that they got some 2010 picks(I believe?) and get a motivated Peters(Overrated but still a good tackle) and this is a strong draft.
With the 193 pick in the draft you do not NEED any one position. But I think we pick the BPA among WR, TE, DE, and OG.
