    Jasper Brinkley Selected by Vikings

    =(

Very upset I really wanted this kid. I guess we don't need him at the moment with Scott and Harris, but playing devil's advocate you can never have enough lbs when your a 3-4 team.

Maybe this says something about what Ryan feels about our backup lbs.

The general rule of thumb for trading future picks is that the future pick needs to be higher than the current pick. So we would most likely have to trade a future 4th or a future 5th and a 6th to get a 5th round pick today

Because we want to keep our value for NEXT year's draft maybe?

I know but there might be some team (especially at the end of each rounds) which doesn't see any interesting player and wants to just delay the pick a year... plus if you are like fifth to last in round 5 there isn't much chance you'll pick lower than that with the same round pick I'm giving you in exchange...

There was no way he was going to last until our 6th round pick, and we don't have any bait to trade up

I know that's the reason of course... just saying there is some talent falling down in positions of need in this draft... how can you be sure that will happen next year? I know that the first rounds of next year are loaded but what about round 5? I have no idea...

I liked Ingram a lot. He'll be a good pass catching TE in this league once he gets to 100 percent.

On a side note note, Rey Maualuga will be playing next to Keith Rivers. Tyson Jackson and Glenn Dorsey will be on the same line. Brian Hartline will be back with Ted Ginn Jr.

It's cool when college teammates become pro teammates, especially within the same unit.

I think we'll take Duke Robinson at 163.

I hope we can get a player of use with our 6th pick. We seem to have been missing on our late round picks lately, with many of the players signing with other teams after they don't make our roster
