Good job, that was fun! My comments on the round, 1. Buccaneers: Marcus Mariota --Will be good-solid at worst. 2. Titans: Jameis Winston --Will be an epic disaster at worst. 3. Jaguars: Leonard Williams --Solid player. High floor. Low Ceiling. Should not be rated this highly. 4. Raiders: Amari Cooper --The best prospect in the draft. To the Raiders? Aint that something. 5. Redskins: Brandon Scherff --Too early for a G imo but is the best in the draft and a huge need. Cant fault it. 6. Jets: Dante Fowler --We get a solid all-around player, but not a superstar. Will never live up to this draft status. 7. Bears: Kevin White --Marshal will not be missed 8. Falcons: Vic Beasley --Quinn is ecstatic to get the best pass rusher in the draft 9. Giants: Andrus Peat --they get a solid run blocking G.... in other words, a waste of a top ten pick 10. Rams: DeVante Parker --they finally get a #1 WR 11. Vikings: Trae Waynes --Combine warrior who can't tackle 12. Browns: Danny Shelton --one of the best prospects in the draft, should have been in the top 10 13. Saints: Arik Armstead --one stat sums it up: 4 sacks in 3 years. totally overrated. 14. Dolphins: Marcus Peters --average athlete with off-field issues. I would stay away. 15. 49ers: La'el Collins --involved in a murder investigation = not a first round pick 16. Texans: Jalen Collins --taking a gamble on size and athleticism 17. Chargers: Todd Gurley --they just can't pass on him, too much upside and fills a huge need 18. Chiefs: Ereck Flowers --solid player. maybe a bit of a reach but OL will get reached for 19. Browns: Dorial Green-Beckham --probably the worst team for this player to go to. 20. Eagles: Landon Collins --reach for need. solid player. elite? probably not. 21. Bengals: DJ Humphries --good run blocker. excellent pass pro. solid pick. 22. Steelers: Randy Gregory --2nd best pass rusher. hopefully he and le'veon don't start hanging out together. 23. Lions: Malcolm Brown --Great pick for a team needing a DT 24. Cardinals: Cameron Erving --best Center in this draft. Cards would put him at RT. ok pick. 25. Panthers: Melvin Gordon --this is a reach considering how deep the RB class is (I'm just not that high on him) 26. Ravens: Breshad Perriman --great pick. hopefully they use him a little more creatively than they did Torrey Smith 27. Cowboys: Kevin Johnson --Solid pick. Not my favorite CB, but he's top 3 and the best one picked so far 28. Broncos: Alvin Dupree --decent selection for this late in the round, boom or bust 29. Colts: Eli Harold --solid player. similar measurables and production as fowler. he would have gone soon. 30. Packers: Eric Kendricks --best ILB in the class 31. Saints: Nelson Agholor --solid receiver. there are a couple guys I like better that aren't valued as highly. 32. Patriots: Ronald Darby --worst pick haha well what do you except from a Jets fanboard? Best value: -Perriman to the Ravens. Sliding past the Texans and Browns, the Ravens manage to nab the last big wr with a first round value. huge upside. Worst value: -Darby to the Patriots. Track speed fast but poor cover skills, considered a 3rd or 4th rounder by many. Safest Pick: -Cooper to the Raiders. obvious. -Shelton to the Browns. top ten value outside the top ten. Riskiest Pick -DGB to the Browns because unstable player to unstable team. -La'el Collins to the 49ers cuz who the hell knows whats going on with that murder thing Potential steal: -If Dupree puts it all together he will be a top 5 worthy pass rusher that was had at 28
If anyone is interested in continuing, I'll start Round Two (remember it's what YOU would do, not what you think is going to happen): 33. Titans: CB: Byron Jones Bucs on the clock, followed by: Spoiler: round 2 draft order Raiders Jags Jets Skins Bears Giants Rams Falcons Browns Saints Vikings 49ers Dolphins Chargers Chiefs Bills Texans Eagles Bengals Lions Cardinals Steelers Panthers Ravens Broncos Cowboys Colts Packers Seahawks Patriots plz wait at least 3 picks before picking again
I would be pissed if we passed on Beasley, White, Cooper, or Mariota. But I wouldn't hate on Scherff either. He's such a mauler, it would be fun to watch him every Sunday.
I'd imagine if the Redskins tabbed Scherff as their guy they would look to trade down a couple spots if possible. The cost wouldn't be as much as moving into the top 2-4. A team like Atlanta would trade up ahead of us to get Beasley or a team like Chicago looking to take whichever WR is left Cooper/White. A lot of things could happen in the top 5 that we may really like or we may really hate. It's going to be fun.
Sorry, I didn't understand the idea of the thread. I think I get it now. Washington is up in round 2. They take Phillip Dorsett.
