I thought CJ Wilson pitched pretty good last night. He was getting alot of groundballs, and his defense wasn't making the plays when he needed them. Sabathia was on point last night. They couldnt touch him.
Couldn't watch the game, but looking at the stats it seems like it was a pretty balanced attack throughout our lineup today which is great. A solid outing with Posada/Burnett is always a huge plus, still would like to see Cervelli in though. Nick Johnson with 2 more walks, the player haters club will strike again. Wish I could have watched today with Gardner getting on base so much. It's so fun to watch him on the bases because of how drastically he changes the game
What's sad is all of the kids who will never be able to go to the original Yankee stadium, or even see it for that matter. Shit, I am saying "kids" and I'm 24 years old.
You know, I remember my freshman year of college when I was pledging, one of the things on a scavenger hunt list were a picture of us in front of a gate in Yankee Stadium and a picture at The Bat. It was a bitch to get out to the Bronx that night, but looking back on it, I'm glad I have the two pictures.
You're right it's going to be an awesome park. I can't wait to just chill there-- maybe bring my laptop do some work.
We are in good shape to take the lead here. Let's go Swisher! Edit: Swish' couldn't do it, but Pena did! 2-run single for Ramiro Pena, 4-2 Yankees lead.
