Not saying not to evaluate qbs. I am saying not to evaluate shitty qbs. Goff and Lynch will be here this week.
Same to you as to wrestling guy: when Gailey says or shows that Hoyer is shitty, I'll believe him. You me no trust
I'm aware that in some circumstances other players getting in that range. I said who IMO deserves north of 16. And to clarify, I don't mean a one time rental, but a long term contract.
LTs don't make 16 million. Only Franchise QBs deserve that. And I am talking long term too. Revis isn't worth what he makes. Only non qb player that "might" be is Watts.
Nope, not good enough. The circumstances on those tapes are always different: system, personnel, level of opposition etc are not the same. I, for now, still believe that Jets FO knows what they are doing. Hence, Gailey's word is above all else. When they make enough mistakes, I'll be taking tapes over their judgement, but not yet.
Jason La Canfora ✔@JasonLaCanfora Also, Jets have interest in Brian Hoyer, as they did a year ago. Very likely to schedule a visit with him soon, quite possibly this week
A good LT deserves it, maybe a little less than their QB, but they do. Get a jerkoff like WFH to protect your elite QB, and you won't have a QB for long.
Yes it's been posted. Hope they wait till after the draft.... I don't want anymore idzik drafts. Need to focus and get it right.
For crying out loud!!! Do you really think it's either-or? That FO can't focus on more than one thing at a time?
WFH isn't worth $10... good LT is about 10-14 million... remember we have a thing called a salary cap. And when you get good wr, cb, olb, etc your cap starts to disappear.
If you can get good LT for 10-14, all the power to you. But this position is important enough to go over 15-16 if needed
Geno and Petty are better than this bum....He's been shitty in Cleveland and shitty in Houston Would rather pay Fitz 15 mil if it means no Hoyer He plays like a scared bitch....Not blaming it all on him as he's taken some big hits over the years but it is what it is. Basically the anti-Fitz in that department
I disagree. There's no way he's worth that much imo. He's only worth what Mac offered him. He's a JAG and lucky to be offered anything. Paying him that much would be a fireable offense imo.
Sign Hoyer.Between how Fitz played in the final Buffalo game, coupled with his unreasonable contract demands, It may be time to just move on. Hoyer is the same kind of career JAG that Fitz was before he hooked up with Chan, Marshall, and Decker. If we're going to start a placeholder, it may as well be one that doesn't tie our hands financially. I doubt Hoyer's play, in our offense, will be that much worse than Fitz's. The bottom line is that the franchise quarterback we need to become a serious Super Bowl contender still isn't on our roster; so finding him must be priority one.
You see, there is a canyon of difference between "best QB this franchise has had in 10 years" and "franchise QB". Extra 3M for the latter is no problem. Extra $20 for mediocre QB who happens to be better than sorry collection of crap Jets had over 10 years - hell no.
