Bringing Hoyer in also puts pressure on Fitz. And you don't know how he will be here. Go read what was said last year about Fitz, pretty much same shit.
FO should bring in Hoyer, should evaluate him. Only then they will have an idea how much he is worth and if he can possibly fit the system.

    LOL
Of course it involves evaluating every option, that's why they are bringing Hoyer in!

There is not post or anything saying they are bringing him it. Just someone saying it could happen. It would be best for them to focus on the draft that is 2 weeks away so we can get some decent young talent. Not work out a washed up never was.

Big difference between what I said and whats gonna happen

You think if Geno, Petty and Hoyer are our 3 QB's in camp that people arent going to be calling for Mikey Mac's head?

Do you know what fanbase this is?

Im not saying pay Fitz 16 mil. But offering him 7 mil is just as bogus as what he's asking for.

But thats how negotiations work , aim high , get offered low , settle in the middle.

Offer him between 10-12 and end this madness. He's worth that much. Atleast to this team he is.

You mean the post about them likely to have him in... Just speculation by a member of the media. One thing you learn following the Jets for years. Never trust the media unless it is a sure thing. If he had a visit schedule it would be posted on nfl.com already.

1st, I have no doubt people like you will start another billboard movement.

2nd, the point of the post was that if Fitz is not coming down to earth, there are no other viable options and thus evaluation of Hoyer, and anyone else available, is a smart and necessary move.

    1st - LOL

2nd - Hoyer should not be considered even if Fitz retired tomorrow and became a monk. He's TERRIBLE. The fact that he has some starts on 2 bad teams should not be reason enough to be considered.

There are viable options if and thats a big if , Fitz doesnt return as our starting QB next season , Brian Hoyer should not be one of them.

The fact that the Jets are even considering bringing him in for a visit should tell everyone all they need to know about the current state of NFL QB's.

How did I miss it when I just told you what it says. I saw the original report. I also saw most speculation on nfl.com.. But there is no visit scheduled and just like every other wild guess and qb we have been connected to, there is no for sure truth until it breaks. Which it has not. Yes we will be connected to every qb possible until we sign one or draft one. We have Goff and Lynch coming in this week for visits. Look on nfl.com. It's a fact.

2nd: I'll believe it when Gailey says or shows so. You don't have enough credentials to trust.

Gailey without Fitz is a mediocre OC. Fitz without Gailey is a mediocre QB.

They both make each other better. Its a good pair. And fans are ready to move on over cap space that we're gonna have available next offseason anyways?

    Makes no sense to me.

I didn't say they won't. My exact words were they have more important thing to do right now. Like focus on a draft that is less than 2 weeks away. Working out a shitty qb shouldn't be one of them. There is not report that the Jets will bring Hoyer in. It says they are "Likely" to. And that is his opinion.

Yep, I'm ready. There are only 2 positions in NFL that deserve even a sniff of >15-16M: franchise QB and the guy who protects his blind side. Fitz is neither, so fuck him.

You're right, we need to make sure FO stops dicking around evaluating QB options and just focus on the draft. Someone needs to put blimp with the message over Florham Park.

Well once again Im not suggesting we pay him 15 mil a year. But to offer him 7 mil is stupid.

    But ok

Actually LTs don't make 15-16 million. QB'S, Pass Rushers, and a few CBs do. But only QBs deserve it.
