FWIW it sounds like his pass protection is a WIP but that's generally true of all rookie backs. Since he only started 1 year, and in a spread offense at that, he is probably even further behind. http://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=7739:&Itemid=15 "Baylor running back Terrance Ganaway was horrible as a blocker on Wednesday. He was beat like a drum by almost every linebacker on the South squad. North Carolina linebacker Zach Brown performed a nasty spin move that left Ganaway in the dust, and the Baylor back was beat badly again by Brown later on in the drill."
Ganaway reminds me of that guy from Georgia Tech last year. Forget his name. Went to the Steelers, I think.
6th round picks are great value because if they make an impression on coaches (like Ganaway) and stick with the team, you get production minus the huge investment and risk. Lets hope he sticks.
I'm realizing that Ganaway is a much better athlete than people think he is. From the outside people think that he is just a big back but I think this guy could be special and maybe even make a real play for some of Greene's carries
Ganaway is like a Legarrette Blount.. He is a Big Body that is deceptively fast for his size and cant be that dominat inside runner that we need to spell Greene when we he has to. Basically a Three Headed Monster with Ganaway McKnight and Greene. I like him as a pick and hope he contributes this season
I think he's gotta pass McKnight on the depth chart, because imo, he'll make a case for starter early in the season. IDk, I have my reservations about Ganaway. Its easy to get hyped up about every single draft pick your team makes, but I dont remember him at all from college. And god knows I saw enough Baylor games. I would rather taken Polk. Thought he was a top five back, easy. Can't believe he went undrafted. I know he has health issues, but damn man.
Trust me I wasnt that hyped on the Ganaway pick originally, but the more I watched the more I read, it became clear he isnt just some throw away pick in 6th round.
