Totally agree. Hey...I dont agree that Mangini was pounding down doors to make sure he didnt come here. Every coach thinks he can change a player. Mangini probably looked at his final year in Green Bay and except for his last pass against the Giants...Brett was kept on a pretty decent leash. That didnt happen here..and to some extent..thats either Manginis fault or Brett Favre IS the most selfish qb to ever play the game. Im leaning towards selfish big time.
Well, this franchise is really in poor shape right now, you just can't sugar coat this fact. We gave up what is now #2 rated QB and MVP runner up, QB position in in shambles, and Woody fired a good HC without thinking. Reputable coaches don't even want to talk to the Jets because of the situation Woody created. There is a good news though: I saved a bunch of money on car insurance with Geico.
Well, I'm starting to lose my anger at Mangini for the Favre trade. It seems like this trade was commanded by Woody and Mangini's hands were tied. It's too bad, this season would have been a lot more fun to watch without the blathering by idiots like Craig Carton at training camp asking for Favre.
If Mangina didn't want Favre, why did he name his kid after him? I don't believe for one minute, Mangina didn't want him. We all did. Unfortunatly, we were dead wrong.
The truth hurts and this rings true. It's consistent with what alot of players are saying people. Wake up! Denial is a dangerous thing.
Where there is a smoke, there is a fire... Still, that doesn't excuse Mangini and Co. from the abysmal defensive performances.
Best comment in this thread. Farve is a problem and if anybody thinks he will come back to open arms and welcome back banners they better think again.
We weren't dead wrong--we took a shot and it didn't work out. But it could of--damn, we should be playing right now! We have to win either SF or Sea--both really. And our defense could not make 3rd down stops. This is not a BF situation although he brings in a suitcase of shit too.
because..... Can you imagine Mangini ending Farves consecutive Games started streak? Unfortunatly his CGS streak probably cost us the playoffs. the closer it gets to game time today the more pissed off I get. What a fuckin joke, We need a coach with some balls, whoever it turns out to be. Oh and Teddy Atlas: Why don't they just interview mangini's mother
a lot of this mess is pure bs. mangini named his friggin kid after him so im not buyin this mangini didnt like him thing. the media has and will conrinue to release a bunch of ridiculous stuff from a bunch of ridiculous sources to get everyone reading. next week we might get a favre gay love scandal or manini's tits caused the loss of the locker room. take it all with a grain of salt
F**k Teddy Atlas. This mumble mouth has been, would be an after thought if it were not for Mike Tyson and Mangini. Atlas is so irrelevant.
Why does everyone say it's about his CGS? Out of the the only five players in nfl history to even break 100 (QB): two are retired, 1 is injured badly enough that his future is questionable, and the closest is Peyton Manning with almost 100 less. How many more years do you think Peyton will play. I'm not saying he shouldn't have been benched but i doubt he was thinking of his CGS. Favre - 269 Manning - 176 Manning would have to play consecutively the next 5 years and about half the playoff games to meet it or beat it. Just my take.
Wake up people! The man speaks the truth. Why the hell do you think Woody brought in a 39-year old QB? Of course it had to do with PSLs and the Giants. I've said this from day one. Now people in the organization are saying it. Woody could give a shit about the fans, other than he wants their money. He wants money first, with winning being secondary. He forces a player on the coach and then fires him when it backfires. If that's true, what an ass.
