Sparano had Ronnie Brown looking good throwing passes in the WildCat. Tebow would be great in that roll. As others have mentioned, we used a 4th on Brad Smith to be a gadget guy, and nobody regrets that pick. Tebow would be worth at least that. If Denver is willing to take a 3rd or 4th, I'd pull the trigger, especially with is dirt cheap contract. If he can be trained to catch the ball, he could be our Kordell Stewart. Put him on the field, sometimes at QB, sometimes at RB, sometimes in the slot.

As a Jet, Tebow would be overvalued at almost any price because Tebowmania could cause a lot of problems for the team just due to the added media and fan pressure on the coaching staff and offense.

Tebow's value as a strictly Jesuscat player is the highest, although it may not be financially higher. It's everything he's good at and everything he's been trained to do.

His value at any other position is suspect. There's a lot of risk in trying to teach him to play another position and expecting good results. The further from the snap he is the more the risk increases. There's also a big question mark around his willingness to become a RB, TE or defensive player.

His value as a full time QB is probably even lower. He only works well in an offense designed for a player like him. Not all teams are going to conform to that style. He's not a drop back passer (at least not now). Denver's strategy with him worked great because it conformed the entire offense to his needs and it was something very different from what the other 31 teams were doing so a lot of defenses were under-prepared for it. I give Denver credit for seeing that opportunity and properly executing it. But then you look at the Bronco-Pats AFC Championship game where the Pats murdered them. There's your entire defensive scheme against a Tebow offense. Every team in whatever division he would play would develop the same defense to stop the Tebow offense. They might pull a few over on struggling teams in the schedule that don't have the time to deploy a whole new defensive strategy for one game in the season but I don't see the same kind of success for Tebow in the future until his passing game improves so much that you can redeploy him as more of a passing threat to make those option plays more useful.

The Jets front office should listen to its fans and NOT get Tebow

If the Jets front office listened to the fans the team would never be competitive.

5th rounder max, it would be interesting to have Tebow in our team but he needs to shut up and take the wildcat snaps...

Whatever little cofidence you gave Mark with his extension, you'll strip it right away from him by signing Tebow. The 1st incompletion he throws, you'll hear the chants. This is a BAD MOVE!
