Not credible, nfl will always be king, but we will see it on espn top plays whenever Tim makes a huge play, and if his team makes the playoffs I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought the t.v rights to play it in the US.

They are gonna get a lot more press then they used to that is for sure.

    League Source says Tebow Out

Newsday just reported the Jets will attempt to trade Tebow in the off season and if no deal can be made he will be released in March.

I wouldn't be surprised if a game or two of Tebow's gets televised in the US if he goes to the CFL.

ESPN will have more people in Montreal than NY/NJ/CT combined if he winds up there. I'm only half-joking when I say that.

I almost spit my drink at the screen when they were televising the warmups on Monday night. Gruden was saying something like "and the most important thing tonight is..." and ESPN at that exact moment chose to do a close-up of Tebow warming up by staring at the plays on his wriststrap.

Gruden went on to describe something else but the coincidental close-up at the exact time he was saying that just encapsulated everything that has gone wrong with both ESPN and the Jets this season.

^^ It's probably best for him to go to a team with a well established starter so her can spend time learning. That will squash all the talk and possibly lengthen his career.

The chances of that happening are precisely zero. Not that Tebow couldn't fit in that locker room or with that coach, but he can't fit with that offense. There is virtually no team in the NFL that runs an offense more poorly suited to Tebow than the Patriots.

You really see Tim adjusting to every defensive protection on the fly, playing almost exclusively from the pocket, firing accurate razor-sharp passes to receivers? It's not what he does well, and the Patriots OL cannot block for him. Their tackles are prototypical backpedaling pass-blockers, they can't handle unpredictable plays like Tebow needs his line to handle.

I wasn't talking about him replacing Brady, of course he wouldn't run Brady's offense. I'm talking about the Pats using him as the Jets said they would... but actually doing it. Creating package plays that take advantage of his skills, or using him in other positions but not as a decoy. But mostly just to develop his skills as a backup behind one of the best qb's to play the game. I'm not saying it would be a good fit for the pats, but it would be a good fit for Tebow.

It's an interesting thought, but at the end of the day, the only way the Patriots bring in Tebow is if he agrees to change positions and is a FB/TE type of guy.

    Two main reasons:

    1. As others noted, the offense is not suited to his game. Giving him the reigns of the Patriots' offense would be like taking a 1st grader who just learned subtraction and throwing some trigonometry at him. That sounds more insulting to him than I'm intending (I don't have a real strong opinion on the guy either way), but there's a lot of truth to it. Their offense is predicated on complex pre-snap reads designed to get the best possible match-ups. Ever notice how half the time Brady hits Welker, Welker is being covered by a mike linebacker or a safety in a zone package? The Pats exploit match-ups... that's their entire offensive strategy. I'm not sure, even with time to sit and watch, that Tebow would ever be effective in NE's offense.

    2. They're not going to take the ball out of Tom Brady's hands for anywhere from 3-10 plays/game so they can work in some kind of Wildcat or option offense.

I wonder if Tebow would consider changing positions to play for Belichick and possibly McDaniels (assuming he doesn't leave). If he would, I think most Pats fans would be glad to have him. He's a talented guy with the ball in his hands and is the epitome of a good teammate.

Why not ? He was very effective at it in Florida running Meyer's Spread Option, and that is where Belichick and McDaniels went to be tutored in creating those matchup situations.

If you had to pick 3 NFL coaches who were the best at adapting/evolving their offenses, Bill Belichick's name would be on that list.

Well since some of my forefathers migrated south from Canada about 300 years ago and others migrated south about 10,000 years ago, I think I can pretend very well.

The Patriots won't grab him. Nice try Tebow girls.

As a Jets fan I hope the Patriots pick him up. It would be so stupid for them to do so. Any plays in which Tom Brady isn't taking the snap is WIN-WIN for anyone playing the Patriots. Bill Belichick knows this. That's why he's never tried the wildcat fad. Not too mention Tom Brady is one of the best QBs that ever lived in short yardage passing and running, it's not even a need!

There were reports that Tebows biggest fan McDaniels might be in play as Cleveland's head coach. That could be where he lands. That ought to go REALLY well I'm sure.....A flawed QB, a flawed coach, and a flawed organization.

You're looking at it from the short term. I'm taking more of a long view of it, similar to the 49'ers with Montana and Young. In the interim, I'm sure that a guy like Belichik would find creative ways to use Tebow.

But that's the point. He would be a bad backup for the Pats; much worse, in fact, than for the Jets. The backup has to run the same offense that the starter does.

If Tebow changed positions, now who does he compete with on the Pats roster? Clearly Ridley and Woodhead are ahead of him. Brandon Boldin? Is he really going to be a fourth-string RB and special teams player? He's not that great a FB/RB if there's another QB on the field.

The _only_ fit for Tebow is a team which runs the ball a lot and is looking to do something interesting at QB. Whether that's Jax, KC, Oakland...

When your'e hoping the Jags or KC pick you up please just pull the trigger and retire. Sorry you Novembrer 2011 (when Tebow came here with the Broncos - like we don't get it) and March 2012 (when our owner lost his mind for a minute). Please feel free to jack to the Tebow shirtless in Jets shorts running in the rain pic again as payment.
