Anyone but Tebow. I don't want to play the hindsight game, but there were options out there. I'm sure if they did some research they could of drafted a RB or something for depth purposes.
Looking back there are a million things we could have done, would it have changed anything? unless we were drafting another WR who was ready to play as rookie I'm not sure anything would have changed.
Like I said, maybe not WR, but Jets did have some quality players to choose from: Zebrie Sanders (4 year starter at OT from Florida State) Bobby Massie (Easily top 15 OT coming out of the draft) I am just hoping Idzik is not the clueless fucknut that T-Bomb has been all along.
The point is you posted something that was not in disagreement with what I said because you are trolling for an argument where there isn't one. Point out something I said that you could possibly dispute and I will be glad to clear it up. But anytime you post some sort of non-sequitur I can also point out that I like grapes.
Your tin foil hat has arrived! HILARIOUS that people are still denying the obvious. Hatred for Woody and the Jets FO is like a religion to you guys. Nomatter what they do, it's always the same crap. "Oh, Woody's just trying to sell tickets, not win games". Yeah ok. A business owner totally does not care about running a successful business. Why buy a team in the first place, if you don't care about winning???
Funny how you come at me, yet the majority in this topic are saying the same thing. here's your dunce hat go isolate yourself in the back of the classroom
If you don't want to discuss it then ignore my comment. you were patting yourself on the back making it seem like we stunk b/c of the tebow trade and that's just not true.
I would say injuries were part of it and and like you say Tebow really didnt effect much. #6 pretty much took care of the rest.
:rofl::rofl: Ok Holmes lover whatever you say. you take that 700 yards and you continue to praise him!
"Durrrrr, targets per game have nothing to do with total yardage! I'm gonna make up fake stats and not even check them before assuming they correct and use them as an argument! Gee I hope nobody looks them up! 700 total yards! That's all that matters!!!" While I admire your passion and persistence, it's too bad that you waste it on negativity and slander of players.
Lol - well Holmes is a bitch so it's well deserving! Braylon and Cotchery were my favorite WRs during the Rex era. Braylon, Cotchery, Keller. Great trio of weapons before Holmes came around. Add Kerley to the mix and you had 4 weapons that were team first players. I only really bash Holmes and Sanchez (I supported Mark just as you did at one point)
2009 and 2010 were HORRID Drafts!!!!! And that all starts with Sanchez - You don't take a Cali-boy QB who never saw snow, with little experience which was all playing on a stacked team, to play in the northeast... Watched him with my FIL in his USC games and I said - Watch the MF Panzy boy is going to be drafted by the Jets.... You can throw those drafts in the trash and throw at a dart board of picks and wind up better off. MUCH better off considering they doubled down on Sanchez. And I know junc is going to rationaliz e those draft somehow - But, you need TOP talent out of those drafts to sustain success..... Those 2 drafts KILLED the Jets.... Kyle wilson forced them to 1) get Cromartie and 2) try fo Aso.... Rex Gushed about how great Kyle Wilson was going to be - and yeah, he's servicable but, he's NOT what they thought they were getting.... John Conner....LOL  Ducasse - oh shit McNight - what Ever. Greene and Slausson - EAT ME!!!!! 2 Drafts were BRUTAL.
The Cali boy QB who never saw snow was excellent in the cold in the playoffs in '09 and '10. we drafted a QB who helped us win 4 playoff games in 4 years. Shonn Greene was a big piece in those runs too. Trading Leon and drafting Connor was a bad move. Slauson has started 3 of 4 years. The '10 draft wasn't good but no one hits on every draft, overall he did a good job drafting talent to help us nearly reach 2 SBs. It's mind boggling how Rex sucks as acoach, our GM was inept and we have the worst QB in the league yet we are 3rd in playoff wins in the NFL since 2009. we must have gotten so lucky!
Not that I really want to get into this with you but did you watch 2009 at all? The Jets had about the luckiest run of breaks I've ever seen at the end to get in the playoffs at 9-7. They not only faced two teams resting starters at the end of the season, which is really amazing when you think about it, but they also had the Broncos lose 4 in a row at the end of the season and the Dolphins lose 3 in a row. The hot teams at the end of the season were the Steelers and the Texans, both of whom were behind the Jets in the standings. They won 7 in a row between them but it didn't matter, the Jets had the tiebreakers and had to lose against one of the two AFC teams resting their starters to miss the playoffs. That was probably the luckiest run to get into the playoffs in NFL history. It certainly was the luckiest run for the Jets.
but if they had a bad coach, bad QB and bad GM that couldn't bring in talent they wouldn't be in position where a qtr and a half of Colts backups makes a difference. They beat who they had to beat, they got a qtr and a half of Indy backups in a close game. Good teams take advantages of breaks and we did. In 1993 Hou rested starters in week 18 where we needed 1 win to get in and we lost 24-0. You still have to take care of business which we did. On top of that w/ a crappy HC, crappy QB and crappy GM we won 11 games and made the title game again in 2010.
If people want to complain about draft classes, I highly recommend looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers drafts the past couple years. New England Patriots had draft classes full of busts.
