Also I mean we know Tanny can straight out lie to the media. How many times has he said a positive thing about a player and turned around and traded/cut them? I see this as Tanny taking part of the fall for Woody so he can get a job in the future. That doesn't mean I think Woody walked in and said "Get me Tebow or you're fired", I think it means Tanny, Rex (now because of Tanny), and Woody all agreed this was a move to make and they were all wrong. If one of them said no, it probably stops there, but they all talked each other into it and it was the wrong move. Eventually this move plus other caught up to Tanny.

Quite obviously, Rex did his best to shoot that down during the season, including the week 15 snub. Hard to believe Ryan was on this with Tannenbaum.
Im listening to Mr.T on boomer n carton, Its like listening to the same interview from yesterday withFranchesa. This guy repeats the same stuff over n over again nonstop. He started off the interview with the "Im now the GM of my house" said that to open up yesterday on Franchesa. What a joke Mr.T is , How more fake can this guy get, it sounds like he is reading off a q card, This is one quality i like in Idzik he doesn't sound like a broken record
Why is it hard to believe? The biggest reason why it is true Tanny was fired. If it was not his call he would still have a Job. Almost sounds like Sparano was his call to that is what I really want to know.
What a non-story. All indications are that the Jets were run by a troika of Woody, Rex and Tanny. Who first came up with the idea of Tebow is really insignificant, since the reality is the deal would not have happened if Woody were not all in on it. Moving on here...

Exactly. Woody is the owner. If he didn't have anything to do with the football side then this story has merit. But since he does, and he is the owner, he is ultimately to blame. Its one thing to blame Tanny for areas in which he is an expert, but the entire country knew Tim Tebow sucked. If you hired a gardener and he came to you wanting to plant poison ivy in the front yard and you went along with it, who do you think your neighbors would be calling a dumbass? I swear only in football is this something people could dispute...
If what Tanny said is accurate and not "former employer" speak (which it very well may be), then I was wrong accusing Woody about making the Tebow thing a PSL/ticket sales decision. Will you now please stop whining like my 6 y.o. about people who never admit they are wrong?
