Since you apparently have all the answers, you tell us. Why did Tanny supposedly stop making roster moves ? What a load of bullshit.
Asking to be traded? I thought he was a do what's best for the team kinda guy. Guess he is just another hypocrite pretending to be a good guy for the public.
Pretty much. Hope he finds success with a team like Jacksonville or Arizona, because he won't find it with us.
Really? You mean the guys who watched Sanchez in practice and threw him into a professional football game? If this season has proven anything at all to you, it should be that the Jets ability to judge quarterback talent is less then fucking zero.
Now you are using time is money concepts ...I'll bite blown draft picks Not benching Sanchez sooner Both had a more detrimental opportunity cost ! I can literally list a dozen things
it's an anonymous source article based on speculation , he did not say or do anything. keep calling him a hypocrite as he helps builds hospitals for sick kids over seas , and helps disabled veterans and donates his signing bonus for terminal ill people .......we should all be so " hypocritical"
It was expected. I feel bad for him, they didn't really use him right if they weren't gonna play him at QB, and i'm not sure what team will take a shot on him. Not many teams really need a QB, and the ones that do will find one in FA like Alex Smith/Vick, or draft one. Best of luck to him.
Trade Tim Tebow to Oakland for Terrelle Pryor. Oakland gets a QB possibly who can get them some buzz and give Palmer a fight and Pryor becomes a wildcat option for us. Who wouldn't want to see Tebow as a Raider vs the Broncos?
Discussed? Yes. Proven? No. And are you telling me that 1) Tebow told the front office to stop upgrading the roster and 2) they listened to him? The backup QB who just got there is running the front office now? lol. He can't even get on the field now, yet he was telling the front office what to do before he even stepped on the practice field? This is lunacy. BTW, as the backup, it is not Tebow's place to lead or act like he is in charge. His job is to shut up and color, until/unless he is made the starter. I don't think it would make sense or look good for Tebow to try to usurp the locker room leadership from established Captains when he isn't even a starter. I'm sure he was a good team mate and respectful to all. I'm sure he led by example, but that's about it.
Because he does all that he wouldn't go ask for his release or traded? Yes IF he does ask for that it does make him a hypocrite. I will also say it doesn't make him a bad guy.
If any Teboner thinks a team is going to scoop Tebow up in his current contract, they are as delusional as thinking he was going to start this year. The Jets will cut him because he is due close to $3m over the next 2 years (plus roster bonuses), and his market value is non-existent. He'll be lucky to make $400k/year as a backup/gimmick wherever he ends up. That said, I'm not so sure he'll even remain in the NFL. No team wants the idiotic level of distraction that Tebow's cult brings to the table. The Jets will end up eating at least 3/4s of his current contract, and Tebow may never play in the NFL again.
It would only make him a hypocrite if him staying helps the team, or if he said previously that he would never ask to be traded. I don't think either of those are the case. He is not helping the team by being a punt protector. He is not ever going to see action as a QB, by Jets decision. I will do anything to help out at my job, but if they ask me to start cleaning bathrooms everyday because they hired another guy to do my job managing operations, I'm quitting. Has nothing to do with not being a team player.
I don't think anybody going to pick him to be a starting QB. I really think u maybe seeing the end of Tebow in the NFL as a QB. I think he just going to have to tell himself that.
I don't think he will. He views himself as a starter. Sometimes you just have to accept your role. If you want to see a "winner" that never got another chance, look at Vince Young.
He IS a team player. Some un substantiated anonymous source says he's gonna ask for a trade and that makes him a bad teammate? He's a fucking great teammate! He never says anything negative about his coach or teammates. If I was treated the way he was I'd have said something way before this!
You may think Tebow is not a good QB, but he has demonstrated the ability to win NFL games as a QB. I'd say he's qualified.
Good luck to him. Utterly pointless trade on the Jets' part and it's wasted a year of his (potentially) short career. He doesn't appear to have moaned too much. I don't care for his accompanying baggage and his faith but he's acted like a decent guy - he's not done a "Santonio".
