it looks like those numbers are inflated by bonuses he's not going to reach. i don't see how else a 5 year, 9.75 million dollar contract would have him earning 13 million in 2 years. from an article from the denver post: 2012: $1.942.5 million (fully guaranteed) 2013: $2.266.75 million (fully guaranteed) 2014: $2.590.5 million ($567,500 guaranteed) http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_15667056
It was in the contract! If the jets didn't do their due diligence than it's their fault! They are just lucky the league hadn't given the deal it's approval before they figured it out.
IB is saying that Tebow is screaming no at the Broncos through his agent. Wants no part of the Jets. It is IB but I'm thinking there's a real chance it is real.
no it's not, the wildcat does nothing more than break the rhythm of the offense. Get a good back to compliment greene, that would have been a better solution than to bring this circus that is tebow to the jets.
Rex laughed and said "I think they can both start" http://www.tmz.com/2012/03/21/tim-t...e=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter#.T2pLphEgcQo
The Jets agreed to the deal, and announced it as done. The only reason they were able to backtrack is because the League had not signed off when they realized they were going to have to fork $5 mil over to the Broncos. They skidded by on a technicality, not because an agreement hadn't been reached.
I can agree with that but there are some good backs out there and they don't seem to want to pay them. This is a cheap alternative..or was.
Tebow was figured out? This explains why he had one of the best play-off games in the history of the franchise eh? LMAO John Fox is a hack it was his scheme that got exposed, there is only so much Tebow can do when his own coach refuses to open up the offense for him until it is too late. Tebow only had 27 passing attempts while the team was ahead all season, compared to the 291 passing attempts otherwise. This speaks volumes in regards to the effort made by Fox and Elway to shut down Tebow. It is what it is...
Tebow in the backfield with Sanchez in an alternate role would open the passing game up insanely. He wouldn't be the decoy that Brad Smith was as a receiver. I wouldn't like the hype associated with Tebow, but he would be a killer offensive weapon. Just not as a starting QB.
As we say where I work: Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. There has been some funny stuff here today, but I'd still like to have all the information before I get hysterical.
"The Jets announced early this afternoon that they have agreed in principle on a trade with the Denver Broncos for Tim Tebow." http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/article-1/Jets-Agree-in-Principle-to-Trade-for-Tebow/5cc8c4ca-5b37-412d-ada0-7ecb56194a02
again, for all the hoopla & locker room drama this would bring this would be a totally destructive move.
The Jets were really going to trade for Tebow? Really? Do the people in favor of such a trade realize what would happen the first time Sanchez threw an INT or took a sack? You think you had locker room issues last year? Adding a perceived "savior" with a cult-like following of nitwit fans to a team with a mediocre starter is a recipe for disaster. FTR, as a Bills fan, I'd love for the Jets to bring Tebowmania down on themselves. Heck, the Bills cooked Tebow's goose last Christmas Eve when they didn't even have a pass rush ...
This is how i see it too. We are in a division with a certain qb that we need to keep the ball away from. This would be a great ball control opportunity. With Tebow and Sparano and the wildcat i'd be excited for it.
Where is it written that Tebow is the greatest wildcat QB of all time? If you're only getting 4-6 snaps a game at most, isn't that a real waste of a roster spot. Brad Smith was a great special teamer in addition to being a well above average wildcat QB. I'd much rather have him than Tebow. Just fucking mind boggling.
