Could this be an NFL-wide conspiracy? The NFL announces the sanctions for bounty-gate today and the Broncos and Jets agree to bury the news in the middle pages by working out a fall-through trade for Tebow? Goodell has Jets connections after all. And nobody is talking much about what would otherwise be the story of the day if not week.
The Bills signed Mark Anderson to play across from Williams today, yet we are trying to get a WC QB...
We are not talking about politics either maybe Obama is behind the timing of the deal ans well as Payton. I love a good conspiracy theory... LOL
We have limited cap room. Get the fuck over it people. We are not able to sign a top FA. How some of you still don't know this is ridiculous.
i guess the hangup is to do with something the league won't allow? so it's not like another team could do something the jets couldn't. or am i misunderstanding?
I'm grasping at straws, trying to make the whole thing make sense. On the face of it the Jets management team and owner look like pathetic fools trying to compete with a real team across town. I'd much rather that there was a good reason that they did this.
Totally false....Tebow is a legend in Jacksonville and would probably be good for 10,000 -20,000 season ticket sales in Year 1. He would easily generate $20-$30 MM in revenue for Jacksonville.
So because we have limited cap room, we cant sign anyone? Really? Didnt know that... Im pretty sure we could be trying to bring in OJ Atogwe or Reggie Smith or a RT? Or we could be exploring other trades that are much more needed (Jonathan Stewart comes to mind).
They announced the trade before they even read the contract? If that's true, that is embarrassing. How do you not read the contract? Geez!

You don't read the contract when you see... Oooooh shiny grab grab The truth is probably more along the lines of the Jets don't have a plan that works and in the absence of that crucial factor they break down into repetitive hand-to-mouth actions, which are broken only by... Oooooh shiny grab grab
We have 1 half back. Sporano likes to run the wild cat. Tebow is the number 1 candidate for any wildcat offense. Tebows completion % was low because he attempted and completed a fair amount of big plays something the Jets were awful with last year. With Plax gone our goal line o struggles but Tebow will help that as well as 3rd and short. He sells well and is a leader on the field something that people here were dying for before. I hate Tebow but its easy to understand why they would want him. People are just blinded by their hatred of Tebow and their need to criticize the Front Office.
Per Cimini According to @MikeKlis of Den. Post, Jets never read contract before agreeing to trade. HAHAHAHAHAHA... This organization is a joke. Sigh
