that's funny because we're taking on Tebow's guaranteed money. If a team in need of a QB takes Mark they step into our shoes and take him cap and all. And if Tanny can be convinced to make Tebow the man in NY, there's a lot of teams that be thrilled to pay Mark's salary to get to 2 AFC Championship games in a row.
I just don't think people realize why Tebow wa brought in. He is not here to replace Sanchez. He is here to go along with sparanos offense, which includes a lot of wildct type stuff. Whether or not it will be good, who knows. But he still wasnt brought here to replace Sanchez
It's funny that you guys bashed him last season, now all of a sudden he is being looked at as a replacement for Sanchez. Ridiculous... Tebow was the quarterback of the Gators while I was at UF and i loved what he did for our program, but dude flat out blows on the pro level. Sanchez will be bruised and battered before the season is up due to all the added stress from the front office and teammates.
Take an advil and get over it. Tebow is a Jet and a proven winner and he will immediately make this offense and this team better. If you are opposed to bringing in good young players because they may push the vets to perform better and push for playing time - thats something you will have to deal with - its called competition and its a good thing that will probably make Sanchez a much better QB.
Obviously I didn't support the move, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea. I want tebow to do great Here
I´m In Too, this is the icing on the cake in one of my craziest days of my life, Welcome Tim Tebow ^^
I like the move. But I don't envision Tebow starting games. I see him as a Wildcat option and a guy that can add another dimension to the offense. It was very effective with Brad Smith running it a couple years ago and Tebow will be more of a threat to pass as well. I'm sure Tony Sparano was a big part of this too given his history with the Wildcat. Of course, who knows that the Jets FO has in mind...
Tannenbaum just named him the #2 QB. He's here to do wildcat shit, but he's next in line at QB. It's only a matter of time before the Jesus freaks are singing.
Hate the move, but of course I'll support him, and think this move actually has phenomenal upside as long as the FANS DO NOT FREAK OUT everytime Sanchez throws a bad pass.
It's a lot better than being 1 missed Wayne Hunter block away from Drew Stanton being our starting QB.
Edit: Yeah this is a joke hahahaha "Sources close to the Jets indicate they are close to trading greg MCElroy to Denver for a 4th rd pick" https://twitter.com/#!/66WFanDotNet/status/182661478367756289
Drew Stanton is probably a better QB than Tim Tebow (know nothing about Stanton and I'm still confident in saying that.) Tebow's wins were mostly smoke and mirrors last year -a combination of a defense playing out of their mind and McGahee having a rebirth of a year...and of course, some deep throws, which he actually does throw well and he is a beast of a runner - and that's the role he should be used in - a runner.
