I hope they schedule the primetime games over the second half of the season. by then Tebow will be the starter
If five is the max number of primetime games allowed for a team, I figured we'd probably be bumped down to 3-4 based on last year, but Tebow's presence will probably add one. I wouldn't be surprised to see the game @Jacksonville get a MNF slot, even though it certainly doesn't deserve one.
I bet one of the Jets/Bills games is primetime. Don't forget the NFL is expanding Thursday Night Football!
I don't think they count the Thurs night game aginst the maximum 5 prime time games, only Sun and Mon night. Don't forget the NFL's goal of expanding the Thurs night package was to get every team on national television at least once.
Yeah, the 4PM is my preferred time slot as well. I don't like the 1PM games. 4PM feels more important.
Just think about all the swag Woody is gonna be able to push on the suckers and the true believers. Tebow Jerseys (both new and throwbacks), Tebow cups, hand warmers, scarfs, etc.. You name it. It was basically the same thing with Sanchez and the potentially huge Latino Market in the tri-state. Woody is 20% owner, 80% businessman. He put a lot of money upfront on the Big Grey Box and now, with PSL's sales less than anticipated, he needed Tebow more than Tebow needed him. No other reason to give Denver half the money back they asked for to complete the deal. Woody stands to make that money back before draft day.
no thanks...we, for some reason, dont show up for prime time games...guess we can't handle the pressure.
Tebow became the starting QB in midseason, long after most of the primetime games were announced aside than the flexes late in the season and when it got to be late in the season the networks were fighting like cats and dogs to get the rights to the Broncos-Pats game in Denver. It's only going to get worse now that you mix that with the NY team.
4:00 games too. If the Jets only played at 1:00 I think we would have conquered a fucking super bowl by now.
