Manning is an impossibility and both Flynn and Campbell are a million miles worse choices than Mark Sanchez...

but why argue with a SOJF knucklehead.... it's an argument that can't be won

You are expecting a rookie and 2nd year QB to sling passes on average of over 200+ yards? That is more important to you than 9 td's and 3 int's, playoff road wins and a nice QB rating?

FYI a similar QB in Matt Ryan has never posted 200+ passing yards in any playoff game.

200 yards isnt exactly that much. Whats more important to us is that he plays better in the regular season to get us a damn home game without having to win 3 freaking games just to make it to the super bowl. He was drafted like a franchise QB and its time to stop babying him and "simplifying" the offense for him. Its either put up or shut up time next year. Its baffling how many of you people are even defending him after how god awful he looked closing out this year in his 3rd year now. Its almost like you just became fans during the playoffs last 2 years but totally didnt even watch him in the regular season for 3 years....

I would like to ask one thing from you, make a list of the the qbs who in their 3rd in the NFL year had 3000 yds, 30td's, and 18 ints and see how they compare to MS.

Please post it on the board.

It's like you became a fan in the last 3 years altogether.

This team was a worthless pile of crap for many years, and we as fans could only hope of an off year for the AFC east for the jets to have a winning record, forget the playoffs. I am patient as a fan and am willing to give Sanchez the time he needs to develop into the QB that this team needs. I have seen him perform, I have seen his capability. He needs to learn how to harness his abilities to become more consistent. Time and patience are likely needed in order for that to occur.

Short list of QBs who threw for the same amount of passing TDs or more and had more than 3000 yards in their 3rd full year of starting:

    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco
    Matt Stafford
    Phillip Rivers
    Drew Brees
    Tony Romo
    Peyton Manning
    Carson Palmer
    Jay Cutler
    Aaron Rodgers

...and thats just a quick list. Im sure there is a ton more that i didnt even look up. As you can see, throwing for 24 TDs and 3000 yards isnt exactly eye popping these days.

Just because they were crap for god knows how long means we should all just settle with mediocrity? Nice logic you have there. This is a win now cut throat business. 3 years with little to no improvements is plenty of time. Hes a finished product and the sooner people see that, the better. However, this will probably turn into another drawn out project though and it will take another year of bottom 1/3 of the league stats for people to finally realize he was a huge mistake taking in the top 5 and start the search for next QB of this team. The clock is ticking.

He does have some valid points on some of the stuff he posts. I wouldnt say a total troll. Maybe a little overboard on some of the Sanchez stuff but he probably is just fed up with this team never making a super bowl and just thinks that if this team had a better QB, we could make the big dance one day.

If he had a better Qb we woulda made the dance 3 years ago, don't worry though everyone who thinks Sanchez sucks because he played bad in 50 out of 55 games is either a troll or retarded because everyone knows that Eli Manning and Drew Brees started playing well after more then 3 years. So Sanchez is guaranteed to suceed. Oh forgot Sanchez had a terrible offensive coordinator, oline, wide receiving core, and the defense gave up points in the last 2 minutes of the games so we gotta give him 5 more years till we get him the right peices. With a genious for a Oc, 2 Calvin Johnsons, and if only we can get Joe Thomas so Sanchez can sit back in the pocket all day and not play like a rattled scared little bitch he can finally get us somewhere. Who cares if the guy sucks in the regular season the 4 playoff games he played somewhat decent in make up for all it all and prove hes going to be a top 10 qb.

a thread with alot of posts by jetsown and raortega is just painful to read.

raortega, once again what the hell was the point to this thread? was it really and truly to say because tim tebow lost in new england and sanchez won there last year that sanchez therefore is better than tebow?

i mean really was that really the purpose of this thread? and how in holy green hell did we end up with 6 pages of anything to follow that.

No, he doesn't. He posts the same shit over and over. Sanchez sucks is all he ever posts. Then he says shit like Campbell and tebow are better than Sanchez when they're obviously not. Yes Sanchez had a rough year, so did the entire offense. I've seen Sanchez play like shit, I've also see him play some solid football, and from the positive I've seen from him I'm not writing him off until I see how he plays with a new oc. The idiocy on this board is at an all time high, really makes this board painful to read these days.

Actually, what I see is a list of upper-echelon QBs in the NFL. If that's the direction Sanchez is headed, then I'm happy.

Please stop with the rookie argument. If he is good enough to play in the eyes of the coaches, than that should not be an argument.

And yes, if the running game and defense prevent him from having to use his brain, he can have some success. That is not the issue with him. The issue is what happens when either the running game and/or defense forces him, Mark Sanchez, to try to win a game.

The answer is that the results are often very, very scary.

So, again, posting his numbers ignores the truth about him as a qb. And the truth is that when he is asked to do something alone, he is a failure. He cant read defenses, he cant read blitzes, he cant throw outside the numbers, and he has no accuracy. That is the qb you are defending.

Well sometimes that rookie QB is playing because the coach has no better alternative.
