I was slightly intoxicated when I created this thread. That being said, I have seen people's arguments about why they would rather have Tebow than Sanchez. I can't understand how a guy who, in his first two seasons, has a winning record, goes to the playoffs, racks up 4 victories, takes down a NE team on the way, has one of the best QB passer ratings while in the playoffs, is relegated to garbage. It is clear that sanchez had a miserable season, as did the entire team... all the while his stats improved, even if slightly. The jets have been a garbage franchise for their entire existence sans a couple of seasons, and now they have what looks like a serious opportunity to change that around and become a serious contender for years to come. When or where did we as fans start expecting gold when all we have seen is hot garbage?

Are you sure Tebow is the representative of Jesus anyway? You know, God is much more sinister than humans, with their limited intellectual capacity can possibly fathom.

All I know is that Sanchez out performed a "well prepared" Tom Brady in his own house while Tim Tebow, after cutting up the Steelers, couldnt do sh!t in NE during the playoffs.

Seriously, that is the worst playoff game I have ever seen (started watching back in 04).

For those who are saying that Tebow is smart, he got an 890 on his SAT. 'Nuff said.

Regardless, I would still take Tebow over Sanchez simply because he has heart and never gives up. Sanchez is a bum who only cares about modeling and watching Broadway plays. He'd much rather take a sack than tough out a play, while Tebow has the balls to take on tacklers head-on.

also, Tebow has better physical tools to go along with the intangibles. He's faster, stronger, and will be able to make all the throws next season now that he's the starting QB and will receive more one-on-one instruction from Denver's coaching staff.

and this is coming from a Noles fan who couldn't STAND Tebow during college.

The bolded is your exact argument why Sanchez can't read defenses.

Anyways, Tebow can run the read option really well, unfortunately he made very poor decisions on it last night. Tebow cannot read defenses if they are not in man. Their offense is built around the defense having to commit safeties and linebackers to the run, so their wide receivers always have single coverage. Once they have single coverage, Tebow just waits until they run past their man and then throws it really far. They built their offense around the strengths of Tebow (running the read option and throwing it far). There are rarely pass plays over the middle of the field for them because Tebow cannot read defenses correctly.

God forbid Sanchez had a field goal kicker kick two 50+ field goals, a 3rd string RB starting on the other team due to injury and not going down in bounds to end the game and fumbling in overtime while in position to win the game. That same opponent also did not have their starting QB. If Sanchez won a game like, you would give him no credit. But Tebow wins a game like that (Bears) and you give him credit?

Again your bias clouds any type of valid argument you have and turns it into trolling. You have some valid points that we have heard for a long time, but you surround it with ridiculous stats and hypocritical arguments which leads to most members on the board to not take your football knowledge seriously.

Alex Smith has demonstrated that good coaching up can make a huge difference in a QBs development. Plus, a truly good defense - not a blowhard defense - builds confidence and creates winnable games. I was shocked to see ice water running in Smith's veins as he traded blows with Brees right down to his final knockout punch.

Tim Tebow speaks with a lisp and acts like a homo. Why do people buy the pious act?

It is funny how a guy with a 46.5% completion percentage during the regular season and a 40.4% during the postseason is a starter in the NFL. Im not commenting how bad that is just the fact itself.

    Just wow.

Whether your a good coach or not, good coaching cant make a bad QB into a good QB. Alex Smith was drafted #1 for a reason. The talent was never a question. There is nothing to say for sure Alex Smith wouldnt of turned the corner even without Harbaugh at the helm this year. Some QBs take longer than others but most teams dont normally want to wait it out as long as the niners did.

Sanchez completion % was barely over 50 his first 2 years. Thats not too far off from Tebow....
