I don't know if Raiders are going to be in position to win a championship next season, but there future set up real nice to possible win multiple titles down the road. We know how young and great they look on defense. Now look at the offense. 21 Jamarcus Russell(potential franchise QB) . 20 D Mcfadden and 23 M bush, Two stud young FBs J Griffith and Oren Oneal. Two Stud Tes( 24 Zach Miller and 24J Madsen 6'5 240 4.54 Young OLine they building for the future. Raiders have drafted alot of young wrs the laast two years that James Lofton will try to coach up. Those Wr have some serious athlethic ability. Raiders on defense have versatilty to play eithwer a 4-3 or 3-4. Itsall about stopping the run. There is noreason why raiders should not be ablde to stuff the run. Than with their pass defense look out.
Let just say Raiders have the better chance than the jets to really really supprise next year. Jets still have some major holes. Do Jets have enough coverage LBs and who going to be the number 2 CB. Jets really don't have much firepower on offense. JMO Jets are counting on Keller to do a little more than hes capable of doing. Raiders have a second Te John Madsen thats alot bigger than Keller 6'5 240 4.52 Last Point Raiders have very good chance to have a top five defense . They seriouslu upgraded the sixthbest rushing attack- Mcfadden and M Bush(100%) Healthy . You throw in a legitimate number 1 Javon Walker and your going to be fighting for a playoff spot. I not talking just playoffs, in a year or two raiders cvould be in position to win multiple championships.
You are right b/c if the Jets made the playoffs it really wouldn't be a surprise while if the Raiders even competed for a playoff spot it would shock the World.
I Can't wait till October when Jets visit the Raiders. I want to see how jets plan stop Mister MCfadden and their offense. Jets don't have anything Raiders have to worry about on offense.
Our D is liable to be scoring as many points on your O as your O can score. Should be a lot of INT's and balls on the turf.

there are a couple of things you would need to worry about when they play. offense.. thomas jones wearing down your d neon leon will then run all over the field cotchery will make numerous plays where he makes a 8 yard pass a 30 yard defense david harris....gholston...pace....revis...rhodes....jenkins....nuff said
We had less wepaons offensively and your defense was BETTER in 2006 than it is now and we scored 23 points on you.

Raiders are not even going to have to put it up against the Jets. Stretch and Cut your dlineman at their knees. Jets don't have anyone that can matchup with mcfadden coming out of backfield. Jets don't even have a reliable 2 ab=nd third CB and you really see jets stopping anyone passing attack. There is nothing you have on offense that Raiders defense can't handle.
NO Jamarcus Russell going to perfect situation. A Team that could run the ball consistantly well(sixth best in NFL) . They seriously upgraded that sixth ranked rushing offense with Mcfadden and M Bush. He has a number 1 WR threat in Javon Walker. Raiders don't need Russell to carry them. There running game going to make Russell job much easier. For example fake pitch to MCfadden and that will bhring up the safeties. Raiders defense looks like it going to be very tough in 2008.
How do you figure that. Raiders defense is way better this year than that 2006 version. Deangelo Hall and Gibril wilson put Raiders secondary on another plain. K Morrison and Thomas Howard have developed into two of the premier cover LB in the game. Raiders have so much versatilty on defense that they can play either a 3-4 or 4-3 defense. Again Raiders can put out a better 3-4 defense than the Jets can. Here it Goes. LDE Terdel sands 6'7 335 NT Raiders are suppose to sign Grady Jackson 6'2 360 plus at some point. RDe Tom kelly 6'6 310. That is a big defensiveline that will eat up alot of blockers. Raiders can do alot of diffrent things with their LBs. D Burgess 6'2 266 and Kablima Edwards 6'6 265 could be OLbs with T Howard 6'3 242 and sam williams 6'5 265 as ILB. Or D Burgess and Thomas Howard could be OLB with Sam Williams and K Morrison as ILB. Raiders secondary not going to change. FS M Huff Ss G Wilson Deangelo hall and N Asomugha at CB.
I can't wait till McFadden hold out of camp and Joe spins it that it is all part of the plan to keep him fresh. Its coming..
