Before getting to this post, I want to point out again that there is a real purpose for this team to see what McElroy can do with a week's practice with the first team and a game plan for him. The short leash approach does not permit that kind of test. Perhaps we will still see it at some point before the season is over, but if we do not, something of importance will be wasted.

I wish I was so confident that just one more poor showing by Sanchez means he's finished here. I just don't see it, and of course this analysis leaves out the middle ground that Sanchez might be merely mediocre in Jville. The Jags have a decent offense, after all, but it's their D that sucks. Shouldn't the bar be higher for a game against them? But you know Ryan will not set the bar that high for Marky boy (yeah, I am officially on that bus with him).

And as far as pissing off the fans is concerned, Ryan's already done that. Even last year, before he lost me, I thought he was delusional in several post game pressers. His public statements are not always lies, of course. But credibility and Rex Ryan at this point have a rather tenuous connection. And this has pissed me off, and I think an increasing percentage of the fanbase, for some time now. What has the potential to do even more is if I knew he was all in on the Tebow trade. But going forward, talk about pissing off the fanbase, continuing to play Sanchez the rest of the season will be nothing compared to if they bring back both Sanchez (without any competition as the starter) and Tebow (although I think it more likely than not that Tebow will ask to be traded in the off season).

Will be pissing off hte fans? We're already there/

Bend over Rex, you'll be on the outbound train come season's end. I loved your passion when you began, but you have become a company "yes man".
