I'd definitely like to see us get some depth at corner, but I think Lowery will make for a serviceable nickel. What made our secondary so great last season was Revis in the secondary and constant blitzing up front. When we didn't blitz, there were issues, and when Sheppard or Coleman were on the field there were even bigger issues. Cromartie is playing #2 CB and I personally don't think Lowery's lack of speed will be as big of a problem if he's playing nickel and we get a more effective and consistent pass rush going. But I agree BPA is the way to go.
To those saying that a WR is not a good pick in the first round just look at last years crop of WR, Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin, Kenny Britt, Austin Collie, Percy Harvin, and Michael Crabtree all made impacts...The wide receivers are coming NFL ready now more then ever...times are changing, it aint like before where receivers were taking 3 years to make an impact.. there doing it now and this is a copy cat league and its turned into a passing league...you now need Wide Recievers galore and a good to great QB plus a Dominant D.. we have 2 out of those 3... Draft WR and make this offense more dynamic and we'll be unstoppable Book it!!!
