I was a little concerned about this and didn't see it being discussed anywhere, until this PFT article. Hopefully now that it is out in the open, Tannenbaum won't do anything sleazy. Pretty funny that we will have Rex on the Bills, and Tanny on the Dolphins. And revis on the Pats. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...mplain-about-tannenbaum-conflict-of-interest/
Quinn personally must not be happy that Tanny is leaving his side as a agent. If Quinn wants the Jets and they want him, it will get done or Tannenbaum/Rick Smith will be put to the waste side. Quinn also will be looking for a new agent after this change. At this point, Tanny being a double agent could work really against him and get him in trouble...He also doesn't hate the NY Jets
I hear ya, but I think you look at the situation and it hurts Tanny if Quinn goes elsewhere at this point. There is no way you can not look at this and think hmm this guy is an exec with a NFL team, maybe there is conflict of interest. I mean I don't know how the nfl is letting this happen anyway.
Maybe Tanny doesn't think Quinn is any good. Maybe Tanny already has a handshake deal with Quinn to coach the Dolphins on February 1st.
There is limited opportunities to het a HC job.. He's not going to turn it down, even if Tanny asked him to
It is a total conflict of interest. Quinn, as the client can waive it. Tannenbaum should not be involved in any capacity in representing Quinn at this point. Tanenbaum's interests right now are doing what is best for the Miami Dolphins, not doing what is best for his client, Quinn. Quinn should not waive the conflict and should get new counsel immediately.
I was listening to NFL Radio the day this was announced and Tannenbaum called into the show. All of his clients will be reassigned to other agents.
