Who's Rhoades? ...seriously though - you really think David Harris is more valuable than Kerry Rhodes? C'mon...
Are you saying you are? Sorry if I touched on your identity... didn't mean to draw you out of the closet, but the answer is no.
If this is true the Jets are making a grave and costly mistake. David Harris + 1st round pick + 2nd round are way more valuable to the team than this nutcase. Many "franchise QBs" have never won a Super Bowl because they were surrounded by shit teams (Dan Marino comes to mind)... giving away everything to get this guy is not going to make us a Super Bowl contender. It'll definitely upgrading the offense, but what good does that do us considering our coach wants defense first, running game second? Oh yeah, we're not exactly loaded at WR either. This is a dangerous play the Jets are making if this is actually happening. I truly hope Cutler gets his head on straight, because I don't think it's going to happen, and it will seriously fuck us up if he doesn't.
Don't you love the offseason, a bunch of rumors. They just make up stuff on the fly, people here go and run with it as news.
I'm fine with everything but the Harris part. If Tanny ships Harris I'm probably going to throw a number of things out of frustration. After all, Harris is the reason my favorite ex-Jet (besides Pennington) is no longer on this team.
I havent once seen a rumor regarding Revis. The Broncos know a player like Revis is probably not movable, so they are just setting the bar high (if this rumor is true of course). No way should he even be in consideration. If for some wild reason we decide to part with Revis, no way in hell Denver sees anything close to a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick.
Mike Greenburg suggested it on the radio early this morning. That may be where a lot of people are getting this idea from.
Listen you guys dont understand. Rex Ryan wants a game manager at Quaterback, which isnt Cutlers Strength at all. The JETS would be pretty foolish to trade a 1, 2, and david harris. David Harris and Bart Scott give us one of the best middle linebacker cores in the League. If i was Mike Tannenbaum I would send our 17th pick in the draft on Josh Freeman out of Kansas State. HES 6-6 250!! You dont see this kind of built at the Quaterback postion. He has alot of strength, hes athletic and he can run. He has all the physical tools to be a great NFL Quaterback. I think hes very underrated in this draft, Stafford, and Sanchez hes behind. In the 2nd round we should go after BRITT out of Rutgers
There's something to that. 1. Rhodes doesn't like Cutler, so might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. 2. Harris has certainly been more productive than Rhodes recently 3. Harris / B. Scott seems to be something that Rex likes a lot. 4. Rhodes hasn't done sh1t lately.
I agree with the start of your post, we need a game manager, and it's all about defense, so trading one of our better players is just foolish. Don't agree with the Josh Freeman pick however, we have QB's already on the roster, we need a WR in the draft, keep what we have, wave away Cutler and pick up a Maclin or Heyward-Bey, and I'm a happy jets fan.
I think the Jets would be making a mistake going for Cutler. Ryan seems to have the team moving in the right direction.... Mangina will probably go for him in Cleveland. He's trying like hell to knock up his wife so he can name the kid Jay Cutler Mangina. Supposedly the Browns are trying to get rid of Anderson and have little faith in Quinn. Quinn and a #1 or Shawn Rodgers might get it done.
too funny!! the broncos will have a lot of teams interested, as reported 10 teams have expressed some interest in cutler. they are not in a giveaway position. after watching jets qb's for the past years, some people just can't seem to recognize talent when they see it. been watching noodle arm too much and seemed satisfied with mediocre or average qb play. cutler could very well turn out to be the best jets qb ever! he has shown that kind of talent. the bronco's losing record has not been cutler fault. he's done his part with providing a prolific offense, the defense did not do their part... the jets aren't going to get this guy for a song, it's going to cost, but in the long run it will pay off....
Look. Cleveland can send the #5, and D.A. (who will make 1.5 this year)...So Denver can wind up with Sanchez, and DA and be rid of Cutler. If Cleveland wants him, there's no way we get him.
