Man, this paragraph was a killer:

What a dig saying that we'd ruin two great QB prospects at once. If Gase was still HC that could happen.

Just for the record, I didn't say that (it looked like you quoted and edited and it looks like my copy but isn't).

I know that you didn't. I read the linked article, and it was the words of the author of the article. Thanks for posting the article, by the way.

I was talking about folks who think keeping gase and sam give us the best chance to finish 0-16. Gase and sam ALSO give us the best chance to win a few meaningless game.

At this point I have no freaking idea what JD or the Johnson Brothers are thinking.

Are the Johnsons even aware of who Trevor Lawrence is ? I have no freaking idea. They may be thinking "They said Darnhold was 'can't-miss' so how much better can this guy be ?"

All of U R NOT taking info account that Lawrence DOES NOT want to B a NYJ & stays in school. This type of poppycock comes up each draft time just look back thru the years if u did not believe me. I have been subjected to this since the 1969 draft. Just think JWN in 1965 yes that is 1965 55 years ago was the last super star we drafted So dream on

That’s like spending all your time worrying about getting hit by a bus so you never go outside and enjoy your life.

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Trevor does not want to play for the Jets and is even considering going back to school so there is no reason it should even be a discussion right now.

If the time comes that he blows off the Jets and does I fact return to school it will be a huge topic of conversation. Until then it just comes off as more whining than usual from you.

The only thing that worries me about Trevor trying to pick where he plays is if he thinks he can play for Dallas. I can see Jerry reaching out under-the-table and promi$$$$$ing him Big $$$ beyond the rookie contract.

What's so great about Dallas? Why should Trevor want to play for the Cowboys? Why not the Niners or Bears? Read Darnasty's post right above your post. It's fruitless and silly to worry about something like that. You can't change what happens. If it happens, it happens.

Because the Cowboys take in 50% more revenue each year than the #2 team, the Patriots. Jerry Jones is the #1 opponent of the salary cap.

Beyond that, it's logical to think a Southern kid from Georgia is partial to either the Falcons or the Cowobys growing up.

Just because the Cowboys take in more revenue doesn't necessarily mean that they can or will pay more. As I've replied to you before, if Lawrence leads the Jets to a SB victory he will be the king of the sports world, and the endorsement money would be off the charts. With the Cowboys, he'd be just another great player in their history. Also, he'd have to deal with dumbass McCarthy as his HC and his outdated offense.

It may be logical to think he might prefer a southern team, but doesn't necessarily mean that he would. I grew up in the south and became a Yankees and Jets fan. I lived in NYC for 16 years and loved it. He might not care where he plays, or he might prefer living somewhere other than the South. He might want to experience living in a different part of the country.

Regardless, worrying about Dallas is pointless and a waste of your time and energy.

You're probably right, I'm just telling you if Dallas is sitting there at #3 and the Jets and Jax are 1-2 or even 2-1.....Jerry Jones would definitely try something.

He might offer the team picking first the next 4 1st Round draft picks....maybe even 5. Who knows ?

I believe you. I wouldn't put anything past Jerry Jones. That doesn't mean that Lawrence would go along with it, however.

Well I do have some inkling inside Trevors head since he is a public figure and has made public comments. All his public comments suggest he will enter the draft this year so that’s what We have to go by now.

I couldn’t imagine constantly fearing the worst case scenario. What a sad way to live.

And if Jerry did that, then we turn around and sign Prescott and use the two first rounders and early second rounder to surround him with the best weapons available.
