Here's another reason we need to tank......KC and Mahomes could block us from getting to a Super Bowl for the next 10 years even if we get a GREAT HC and JD does a fantastic job drafting and with FA......359 passing yards in the 1st half ????!!!!......only way we counter that is with Trevor.

We may have two all pros from the last 2 drafts and the ability to have the first pick this year. Coaches will be salivating to come here.

Best that could happen, other than Jags losing, is Patriots winning out then they will have to be playing for a playoff spot the last game of the season vs. Us. The Pats game is the only one that worries me & could wreck the tank. The other 4 games are very probable loses for us.

The Belichick Greatness may become the Belichick Curse....he is such a good coach, that even when the team should be 2-14 or 3-13 or 4-12 o 5-11.....they win 3-4 more games. So they are borderling playoffs this year and in the future.

Net-Net: Never drafting high enough to get a franchise QB. And they aren't finding any more Tome Brady's 196th. :D

Im still not seeing any wins on the Jets schedule.

I’m seeing maybe 1 win between Minnesota / Chicago for Jax.

Anything can happen (look at the Broncos this week) maybe Jax runs into a team with no QB.

It's also quite possible Indy's draft position will be sealed when they play the Jags in week 17 so that's another undercover thing to root for.

Wasn't Denver's offensive production today the same as that of the Jets? Who needs a quarterback?

Well I was afraid we’d actually have a chance to win today with Darnold coming back to three starting WRs

silly me...week in and week out this team continues to remind me how badly I overestimate them

    we are truly, epically bad

Most of the key stats, like point differential, yards, points ,etc, show that we are worse than the winless Lions and Browns

    truly horrifying

    today’s performance was abysmal

JAGS fired their GM this morning.... JETS are the only shitty team who hasnt fired anyone yet.

Pretty good weekend, if only the Jags could have pulled off that win it would have been excellent! Just a few thoughts:

    1) Glennon played much better than I thought, Jags have some fight in them, not out of the realm of possibility they win one more against MN, Chi, Indy (who may have already locked in their playoff spot by the time they play the Jags)...In fact I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's likely they do win one of those games which takes the pressure off of the Jets game against NE

    2) Raiders getting blown out helps us, ensures they won't take the Jets for granted this week...All teams left on the Jets schedule are likely to have something meaningful to play for when they play the Jets, the one wildcard is the Pats...Need the Pats to keep winning and be vying for a playoff spot by the end of the season.

    3) I can't believe I'm typing this as I'm a big Sam fan and still think he'll be a good qb in the NFL, but at this stage of the game the Jets are more likely to lose with Sam playing than with Flacco...Need Sam to stay healthy enough to keep playing...

    4) In terms of highest to lowest threat to ruin 0-16 I'm thinking it's: NE, Clev, LV, LA, Seattle....albeit I'm only truly worried about NE as the Jets don't have the D to stop those other teams and don't have the O to score with them.

    5) Forgot to add that Cincy plays Dallas which is great! Cincy win essentially paves he way to a top 2 pick for the Jets but either way it really works out...Although, I have to say I'm not all that enamored with Fields and there's a big difference between finishing w/ the #1 vs. the #2 pick

Well, if anyone is routing for a draft pick they should be hoping that Gase doesn't get fired until Black Monday. Teams that fire HCs mid season typically win 2-3 games afterward, meaningless games but enough to ruin the first overall pick.

Gase staying on till black monday is key and since he hasn't been fired yet, I'm pretty sure the jets will not make a coaching change till seasons end.

Looking at the jaguars remaining schedule - vikings, titans, ravens, bears, colts

There are 3 key games left for the jags IMO (vikings, bears, colts). The vikings have played better as of late, but you never know when they'll shit the bed. The bears are likely the easiest opponent left on the schedule. Big if, is week 17 vs Colts. If the colts don't have anything to play for, will they rest their starters and possibly have the jags win a game?

Darnold continuing to play is going to help us stay winless as he is good for an interception or 2 every game it seems. Gase continuing playcalling is also pro-tank.

I don't want to tell people how to root for the jets, but I know I personally would go down as an 0-16 team gladly if it meant we could land the next generational QB talent.

I'd have no problem with them being 0-16. They could make up t-shirts for it and celebrate it as though it were an actual accomplishment, so long as Trevor Lawrence is waiting on the other side of it.

Perhaps it's fitting that Lawrence wears #16.

Lawrence’s draft day jersey should have 016 on the back.

realize your points and they certainly are valid. if the rest of the games go like this recent miami game, you are right. if he can improve like he did the prior couple years at the end of the season, then he is still a possible keeper.

if a team blows your phone away with a mega deal for #1.....there is a proven approach building a monster team (provided u draft decently) around the QB position - and then u can fill that QB position with a solid veteran or a younger QB needing a new team. We did it with vinny, the titans did it with tanehill, etc etc.

    we'll see.

only game of concern is the NE game. players will be desperate to avoid the 0-16 stigma. we'll see if it matters.

Jets certainly have the advantage going forward being 0-11. A team could possibly overlook a 1 win team. No team wants to be the team to allow a zero win team to get their first win, the Jets will not be overlooked.

I completely agree with this and hope this incentive combined with most of the teams left on the Jets schedule having something to play for is enough to carry them to 0-16. Pats are the wildcard as we need them to keep winning...although as you mentioned, BB especially will do everything in his power to beat the Jets even if Pats are out of contention...The thing I'm most worried about is fluky stuff leading the Jets to a win as on paper, they shouldn't beat any of the teams left. Pats roster is terrible but BB is a genius so hope that balances things out and leads to a Jets loss. Need Sam to stay healthy enough to play and need Gase to remain as HC...
