You've NEVER had a referee say they were asked to lean this way or that.

    Never.

In 100 years of NFL officiating.

Good day, almost a great one with JAX coming so close to winning. Jets young building blocks looked good, Darnold making it clearer that he's not the one, and the Jets maintained the pole position for the #1 pick.

Next week is going to be our best chance out of the 5 remaining weeks to see JAX get a W (Vikings). Rest of their schedule is much less likely, maybe they can catch the Bears sleeping. Other than that, Jets absolutely, positively have to lose out.

The Jags have this tanking thing down to a science. But, at least we did our part today. Although the performance by our defense today really worries me. They have been so dependable all year and suddenly today they play well. The Raiders should be pissed when they play us next week. Hopefully, the game will be over in quarter one.

Jags will lose out, they are putrid and absolutely ravaged by injury--

Fields showed last week that he is no where near Lawrence.

    Lose out or bust!

-Raiders should be playing on fire next week, they cant afford to lose.
-Rams and Hawks should kill us
-Browns should be a loss if they still need our game to go to playoffs and are healthy
-Pats will be a nail biter, but hopefully Joe Douglas just tells coaching staff to sit starters...not kidding

We beat the Raiders by 31 last year. That should give them even more motivation.

The Jags play the Colts in Week 17, so they could be in the same boat as we'll be playing the Pats. Going against a division rival that may have their playoff fate sealed, in which case they might lose on purpose to keep Trevor out of their division.

Joe Douglas will be the key to the final week. He better tell Gase lose and get a paycheck or wil fire you before the game.

Ha doesn’t really work like that. Gase will be paid regardless. Pats showed life though, beating a solid Cardinals team.

It would be TRAGIC to lose on Lawrence. Fields is nowhere near the player Trevor is.

I don’t see the Jaguars beating the Vikings, maybe they could beat the Bears if there are injuries. The Jets most likely need to lose every game to select first.

Really bad loss to a going-nowhere Falcons team. Oakland/LV writers using the Jets loss last year as a template for the team tanking a playoff season in the final weeks.

They may just not show up next week.

It is amazing.....as much stress as a playoff run !! :D

You do realize, of course, that a perennial playoff NY Jets team could be achieved by getting that #1 pic !

I can't figure out OSU......Burrows loses out to Haskins....he beats our Lawrence and goes #1 overall.....Haskins is 3rd string at Washington.....Fields is now ascending.

Wonder if the Jags could sneak a win in at home against the Bears?
