We're #3 from what I understand but its entirely possible we lose out, which would really benefit the team. We gotta hope the raiders/9ers win a meaningless game or two by seasons end. Nick Bosa or trade out of pick would be my thinking.

    Incorrect

    A season is a season

1 NFL game is 10 MLB Games

    Listen bro

We are not going anyehere in 2018

    I’d rather have a 3 over a 5.....

You’re obviously too dumb or too arrrogant to admit that there is a difference

    Go away

The Jets beat the raiduhs week 17 in 2005 knocking them down to 4 in the draft..... Total tragedy forcing them to draft DBrickashaw Ferguson instead of Vince Young or Reggie Bush. :(

OBtw. Super stoked on the Polk speakers....FINALLY replacing some of the shot that went swimming in the hurricane flood. Sounds like a rock concert in my house.

Still need to replace the technics turntable and cd player though. :(

It doesn't matter that much where the Jets pick. They need to make a good pick and then be able to develop talent. Their organization just hasn't been able to do that on a consistent basis.

Don't waste your time or energy. Some people are simply too dense to understand how better draft position makes a difference.

    The point is

The could have drafted either as they were higher

They still could have picked Ferguson with the better pick.. unless you know some new draft rule I’m not aware of?

    I will add sadly.......

How many titles did they win with Brick (I love him by the way)? Zero... it’s about titles, nothing else

I prefer maximizing options and flexibility in the draft

The best spot for options and flexibility is #1 then 2 the 3 and so on...

You tried to be clever, but you failed

A season is a single entity. In any sport.it counts for one.

Whether the season be 82 games, 16 games or 162 games. It’s one.

My argument is that baseball has 10X more games than baseball and therefore football games mean more.

You choose to mock that but deny the facts and math.

I’m ok with it. Keep attacking me, It shows a lot.

In your original thread, statjeff, who's a professional statistician, did you a favor by giving you a detailed explanation of why your argument was wrong. You didn't listen to that, so there's no point in debating you about the math.

The other issue that these guys simply can't grasp, is that they speak like it's only the 1st round in where we would have the better draft pick, instead of each and every round of the draft. In that draft (2006) it didn't matter so much because it was one of the worst drafts of my lifetime, but in other drafts it can make a world of difference. In this year's draft, if the Jets were drafting #3 or #4, they wouldn't have had to trade 3-2nd round picks, and if they were drafting 3rd, they wouldn't have had to trade up at all. In the 2nd round, those 2 picks could have been any two of the following: James Daniels, Courtland Sutton, Kerryon Johnson, Mike Gesicki, Harold Landry, Connor Williams or Donte Jackson. Any two of which would not only have added very talented players to the team, but addressed needs. If one of those picks had been Gesicki, then in the 4th round instead of Herndon, we could have taken Nyheim Hines

That was a thorough thrashing yet he still thinks he’s been proven right.

Once the smoke cleared after yet another forgettable choke job in Nashville, the Jets now find themselves tied with Arizona for the #3 pick in the 2019 draft. In addition, there are 7 teams with 4 victories, which are sure to be jockeying for a more favorable tanking position. As it stands, Jets will probably pick anywhere from #1 to #11, with a top 5 pick being the more likely possibility.

Understandably, this top 5 prediction may be going out on a limb, as it assumes that neither McCown, nor Darnold will catch fire late in the season. It appears the Jets are avoiding playing Darnold and Webb to ensure a full collapse under McCown, who should really not be under center anymore.

Let's see if Darnold gets the nod against Buffalo's Josh Allen, who played pretty well today in a loss to the Fins and has the Bills looking competitive. The Jets spotty rush defense may have a difficult time containing Allen, who has almost 400 yards rushing this season.
